We are trying to decide wether to drive the day of our flight and park at Globe or stay over the night before. Does anyone know of a park and fly hotel in Pittsburgh? Any info would be helpful(good or bad reviews). Thanks.

For park-n-fly out of PIT, we've used both Courtyard by Marriott and Springhill Suites. In both cases our car was just fine. The hotels each had plenty of lit parking.

We preferred Courtyard by Marriott as they were more reliable in the times they gave us for both drop-off and pick-up when we needed to be at or retrieved from the airport. If I need the service in the next year or so, I'll try again for Courtyard by Marriott. It is also a little closer to the airport than the Springhill Suites option which is near Robinson Town Center.

The Hyatt is great. Attached to the airport. You can sometimes get a pretty good rate.

But don't you still park in the Airport lot for the Hyatt, and thus have to pay for parking anyway? We wanted to stay there for our upcoming trip, but when I found out I had to pay parking, we switched to Springhill Suites. We've stayed there before - love its location near a lot of restaurants.

Check Hyatt PIT's direct website or call directly. I'm pretty sure they have a park and fly package that may not be listed on the general Hyatt website. It's so convenient if you have an early flight to just walk right into the terminal.

We have also stayed at the Hampton Inn near the airport - that was pretty good, especially when I learned they had a 5 - 7 happy hour with free beer & wine (first Hampton I ever ran across that had that little benefit!). Don't know if they still do that.

Thanks for all the responses. I will look into them. Has anyone used the Mainstay Suites. We have a group of 6. Thanks again.

I just made a reservation with the Residence Inn on 1/15 for $99 for our 1/16 departure date. Seems like a good deal for 8 days of parking, and it looks like a complimentary breakfast is also included. I have not yet stayed at the Airport Residence Inn - so cann't yet comment on the hotel, parking and shuttle service.

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn recently. Their rooms were very nice, price ranges from $75 to $98. The continental breakfast was great in the morning, they even had bagged breakfasts to go for people in a hurry. If I remember correctly the shuttle leaves on the hour and half an hour.

That being said, DO NOT stay at America's Best Value Inn near the airport. I had a reservation there, we checked in, walked in to our room, promptly returned to the front desk and had them remove the charge off of my credit card and went to the La Quinta. The bathroom had mold growing ALL OVER the walls, the non smoking room wreeked (sp) of animals and smoke, and the bedspreads were filthy. That is the one and only time I have ever refused to stay at a hotel.

Have a safe & fun trip!!
