Paris Jackson's suicide attempt confirmed by her mother

I've heard that many suicide victims often reach out to others before the attempt suicide.
Many won't say they want to die they may use language like "they want the pain to stop" or "they want to stop feeling unhappy" and think death is the only way that will happened.

I'm not an expert on teen suicide but have read that some teen suicide victims do call support lines, friends, family. not sure why.

I do agree with that. Why would suicide lines exist if we don't expect ppl who truly need help to call them? I just found the article interesting. I honestly never had a single thought about Paris Jackson until a few days ago when she posted some sort of make-up tutorial on YouTube, and now this.

I just now got a chance to get caught back up and read all the responses to this... I may be mistaken but I don't think MJ ever claimed that ANY of those kids were his own biological kids. I know from media reports they said that a white man/MJ's close friend/actor guy was the donor for the children. The man does confirm that MJ asked him for and received sperm donations. MJ wanted to be white. He did not want African American kids with dark skin. He hated his own dark skin and looks so much he butchered himself to change his appearance.

But regardless of who is the bio father, MJ was the only father they ever knew. He was the only one who mattered. Debbie Rowe chose not to be a part of their lives so they didn't even have a mother figure in their life. And Debbie Rowe may have stayed married to MJ on paper for 5 years but she never lived with him and the kids and she never had anything to do with raising them. She knew the deal when she agreed to have the kids. They never lived one day together. So I am not sure why the charade of marrying on paper. She was only a surrogate. It's not like she was their mother for 5 years then decided to move away and abandon them. She never had anything to do with them, much like any surrogate would.

Many suicides are a scream for help. Suicide hotlines are there to help. The fact she called was a clear indication she wanted help. If the media classify's it as "attention" then so be it but the kid reached out and needs help. I hope she gets it...


Maybe she confused the blood thinning aspects of Aspirin with taking Motrin.

Not meaning to disparage her but Paris is a media hog. let me change that, she is a social media hog which maybe is normal for a teen her age. She is constantly (as in daily) putting out videos and tweets about her life.

I'm chiming in also on her parenthood. What freakin difference does it make?

According to the press she tried to cut herself with a MEAT CLEAVER. that's a person in a lot of pain. I don't care if her daddy was Jack frost or MJ

For peat sake she is a 15 year old girl. What 15 year old isn't?

You definitely can't tell by eye color or even skin tone. My ex(black) has my son and a daughter with another white woman and they both have light skin and blue eyes. And we both have DNA tests to prove they are his, LOL

Michael sheltered his kids from the real world. He focused on teaching them self preservation. In other words, how to protect themselves FROM the Jackson family. These kids really aren't equipped to handle "normal life".

My heart goes out to Paris. Hopefully, she will learn to cope with her reality

Rowe did not release the information. She confirmed it. Maybe she did this because if she hadn't the media would have probed more deeply into what is a very sad situation.

I feel so bad for Paris- the anniversary of her dad's death is coming up, she recently was called to give a deposition in the current Jackson lawsuit against AEG, and is still facing the possibility of being called to testify about her dad by AEG .

I'm sure this is all bringing up a lot of emotional turmoil for her. She is still just a kid, only 15 years old.

Michael obviously loved his kids with all his heart. He was very smart to have his kids wear masks and veils when they were out in public with him. That way, the press did not know what they looked like, and they were free to do normal things like movies and malls and parks with their friends/cousins out in public
(without MJ and without the masks) without being harassed by the paparazzi.

MJ had a skin condition called Vitiligio, in which the skin loses pigment and looks white. It had progressed to the point that it was easier to cover up the remaining dark patches of skin than to cover up the mostly white affected areas.

I disagree that it was smart to raise these kids behind a mask. Every parent's job is to prepare theor children to deal with the world and IMO they should have grown up lesrning how to deal with it, like other celebrities' kids. How long was he planning to have them wear the masks, anyway?

And I don't see these kids being particularly hounded by the media. I rarely see them on magazines or in the news.

I agree that this child has serious issues and needs help. I hope there is someone in her life to help her.
