Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Is anyone else sad that this will be their last "at home" Thanksgiving and they'll be visitors next year?
We were just talking about how DD might not be able to make it to everything starting next year. She'll only be an hour away, but she'll likely get a part time retail job and Thanksgiving weekend is going to be hard to get off. We usually have DH's side on Saturday due to a SIL in another state. DD's current jobs have not interfered with our family events at all so it will be an adjustment.
A job will probably keep her at school for most of her 3 week Christmas break too. I was lamenting that fact at Thanksgiving but my in-laws pointed out if she was home she would be alone a lot of that time (DD15 may only have about a week off) and she could be making money instead which is true. And it's not like she has to have a large block of time off to make it worth a trip home since she'll be close. But I'm selfish and want my girl around

Not to mention she will be taking a summer semester in 2018 so basically not coming back for long term possibly ever!
