We have 4 adults and 2 small children and I was looking at the rooms at Paradise Pier. Two questions...One, do you think it would be a huge issue if the room rated for 5 adults had 4 adults and 2 children? You think they would be strict about that? I normally would just get two rooms, but at an extra $400 for the second room, I would really like to just do one room. Two, how does the magic morning work? If we were to try and do it with one room, would we be able to get all of us in early?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

The fire marshal sets the room occupancy based on people, not adults. You would only get 5 room keys for the 5 allowed guests and only the 5 with matching names on room keys would be allowed access to EMH.

Would the hotel be strict about their room occupancy? Yes. Would you probably be able to get them all in to Early Entry? Yes. I know that often times kids aren't looked out too closely making sure that each child has a room key. Would I be too nervous about it to enjoy my time there? Yes. Besides, cramming 6 people into those rooms isn't my idea of a good time. Not only that, but you're not going to get many responses here that encourage you to break the occupancy rules (or any rules for that matter).

I know that in your case it is just one person over the limit - but then where does that stop? "My child is just 1 month past their 3rd birthday - can I let them go in for free still"? OR "My child is just 1/2 inch too short for that ride, can they still ride"? I'm not saying that you are doing these things, naturally. However, rules are rules and they exist for a reason. I would never put 6 people in one room at the PPH. You would be much better served by staying somewhere where all 6 of you could be comfortable and not have to worry about occupancy limits.

We booked a suite at paradise pier, that might work better for you. It had two queen beds, a sofa chaise that was perfect for my four year old and then a pull out sofa in the living room . We had three adults and two kids and it was perfect. I think it was about $250-300 more than the standard room, I know it was cheaper than booking two rooms
