Paradise Pier in October for Annual pass holders.

We've been considering staying there sometime in October so I just checked the pass holder rates and it appears they are the same rates as anyone can get. Do we not get a discount or is that only during times when they are having some kind of special? Also do you know if you have to pre pay when you reserve on Disney's website? I read some fine print that says the room is not guaranteed until you pay so I was wondering about that. With weather and family stuff I'd rather not pre pay so far in advance unless I was getting some kind of fantastic deal. Any tips or insight? We have never stayed at one of Disney's hotels so we were kind of curious to see what it would be like.

I'm not an AP, but when we stayed at PPH a couple of years ago, they charged me one night's stay up front and the remainder at the end of our trip.

Passholder rates usually come out a few months at a time. Right now it only goes until June 13th, which is unusual???

If you go around the first weekend in October Gay Days is going on and you can book at a fantastic rate through their website. Paradise Pier is something like $185/night during that week.

NOTE FROM MARY JO:

Please note that the discount during Gay Days is for those who are attending the Gay Days event. If you use the discount without attending the event you are going against Disney policy.

When you book direct with Disney you are charged for the first night for each room as a deposit. Reservations are fully refundable up to 5 days from your arrival.

Do you need some kind of special code or link to get that rate?

You only get an AP discount if there are rooms available at that rate.

You are only eligible for event rates if you participate in that event.
