I am looking at a beach to go to while in Cozumel and I like the looks of Paradise Beach. My girls will want fun passes for the inflatables, but I have no desire to climb up on those things or to use any of the kayaks/snorkel/etc that the fun passes get you. I just want to swim and stay close to the girls to keep an eye on them. I'm assuming I can do this without the fun pass? Or will the staff get antsy if I am anywhere close to the toys?

My husband and I didn't get the pass for the inflatables but my daughters did. I didn't go on them but swam out and was kinda in the water nearby. No one seemed to care. That being said, these inflatable are pretty big so it's not like you can be within arms reach of your girls. But you can definitely keep an eye on them without buying a pass for yourself. (Also there are life jackets in case you would feel safer)

OP, how old are your girls? I've been to Paradise Beach many, many times and while it's great, the inflatables are really designed for pre-teens at least in my opinion and younger elementary school age would have trouble and want to do everything but would need a parent to be on them pulling them up. I'd say maybe 9-10 at the youngest if they had an older sibling or perhaps a bit younger if they're a good swimmer and pretty physically fit. The water is probably 9 feet or so deep where the inflatables are and they are really hard to climb onto!

The girls will be 9, 8, and 6 during the cruise. My friends' have a lake house with a water trampoline and lounger, so they have experience climbing up on those in deep water. :fish:I mainly just wanted to be in the area with them and not side lined on the beach. Sounds like that won't be a problem!

It won't be a problem. You probably could actually even get on the inflatable if your kiddo needed help. They don't seem too concerned, though the beach has never been crazy busy when we've been there - so they may have been more lax.
