Parades???

Just got back from a 5 day first time trip. Did we go at a wrong time...are there any parades? My kids were asking. They are use to WDW and on the commercial for US they show that parade. Are there ever any??? just curious

Only time they have parades at US that I know of are for Christmas time with the Macy's Parade, and Mardi Gras. If you go back, I highly recommend the Mardi Gras parade...lots of fun...except if you run into an idiot or two (but you just have to deal with those as you go...lol). Macy's Parade is okay...but I found it a bit boring...BUT if you ever go to Universal during Christmas time, Ghostbusters and Blues Brothers have a holiday version of their shows...which I know your kids would enjoy.

I think the parade that they are thinking is the super hero arrival for the autographs. In the commercial they really make it look like a parade but it is more of the herso/villians come out on ATV's. They make an announcement about 5 minutes before they come out, so you have to be in Super Hero Island to know about them.

That is the one I think they are referring to. It is a "mini" parade, but not like at WDW. I for one love it. Some people say it's no big deal, but when my DS sees those superheros and villains come out with the background music, it's a different kind of magic that we can't experience anywhere else. It's usually every hour at the 45 mark. ( For example 10:45, 11:45, etc.) But it is only in Marvel Island.
