Our 2 1/2 day visit in March was filled with Rides, Rides Rides.

This time I want to balance our days with other activities & also see & do some of the attractions that we missed last time. Again, I come to the experts. I need direction & advice given the following:

Arriving Paradise Pier @ 11ish am on Sunday 6/3. :cool1:

Departing DLR resort @ 3-6ish pm on Tuesday 6/5.

Things we havent' seen or done that we'd like to do this time:

- Splash. (was closed last time - I assume Splash has a FP?)

- The Big Roller Coaster in DCA. (just didn't get to it).

- Tom Sawyers Island - (i see that "mark twain riverboat" is closed for refurb - Is this the same thing?)

- Fireworks - only available on Sunday.

- Electrical Parade - " " (Given the choice of one, I'd rather do the Fireworks).

- Parade of Dreams - Each day.

- Alladin - only on Sunday.

- Toad (& Stinger) - only on Sunday (then closed for refurb)

Given the above, how would you plan your Sunday. Assuming we have got to do - Alladin, Toad, Fireworks on Sunday.

And on what days & what times would you do the other items listed above.

Note: We'll do EE both Monday & Tuesday (EE opens at 8am on 6/4 & 6/5).

Thanks for your help.

I would start out in DCA, hit a few rides and lunch and then see Aladdin. Then I would check into hotel or head straight over to DL around 4pm to do the few rides (get fastpass for Splash, hit a few others and then go back for Splash) get some dinner and find a spot for the fireworks!

Yes, do Aladdin in the afternoon on Sunday. If you want, while there grab a FP for California Screamin and ride it in the afternoon too.

See Remember Dreams Come True fireworks on Sunday night. Get to the DL hub 60 minutes early to be able to have the bext experience. Ride Toad in the early evening during the parade if there is an evening parade.

On Monday or Tuesday see the Parade of Dreams. I like this parade. Mark Twain will be closed until late June. But Tom Sawyer Island will be open and wildly popular. You may need to visit it in the morning to avoid crowds. See www.miceage.com/allutz/al050807a.htm for more info.

Skip Electrical parade IMO.

Splash is back up and has FP, so go for it.

We'll definitely do the Alladin show on Sunday.

What are the TIPS in seeing this show??

Which show should we see? (12:20, 1:50, 4:05, 6:00) ??

How early do we need to get there to get a seat?

What is the seating like?

Thanks. :thumbsup2

& Hydroguy, thanks for the link to Tom Sawyer's Island...the Pirate upgrades look interesting. pirate:

I'll report back on this. (unless "Injun Joe" gets us.) :rotfl:

NO NO NO!!!!

 Once again, Trey is dissing the BEST PARADE EVER!!!

Do this on Monday night. It should be running at 8:45 pm. It's a DL CLASSIC and must be done at least once. It's WAAAAAY better than the Parade of Dreams. But see both, then you decide. ;)

On the days Hound will be there, DEP will only be Sun night and will conflict with fireworks. I think DEP is worth doing if someone has time, but if there is a conflict or limited time one has to prioritize. IMO it is not a high priority at DLR, but others still love it. It just is not the same at DCA as Main Street for me. :)

There are three sections to the Hyperion. I can't remember what each is called, but you have to choose your section when you get in line outside as there is a separate line for each section. Most think the Mezzanine is the best. It is like a balcony, and it is best to sit towards the front and as close to center as possible. If you get there 30 minutes before the show you should be able to get a good spot for any of the shows. I would say go to whichever show suits your schedule. Going earlier in the afternoon when it is warmer outside means you get the air conditioning during the heat, plus you are seeing it when all of the lines for the rides are at maximum length. The show lasts 40-45 minutes.

Hydroguy is accurate.

DEP & Fireworks are both on Sunday night only (for our 3 day trip).

I don't want to "run" from DCA to DL (i think some folks said it is doable, but Ms. Hound would be pitching a fit if i tried to get her to run from one park to another after 10-12 hours of touring :) ) Plus, we've never DONE the Fireworks over Sleeping Beauty's Castle before & all of us are looking forward to this.

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Oh, & DangerMouse, we will be returning to DL in the Fall and plan on a longer stay (use up some Marriot points), & we'll do the DEP (& other things like character meals, blue bayou, & other stuff).

Thanks.
