Parades...do we want more for HS and AK ...

I've always been a huge fan of parades, as have my kids. I was genuinely sad when I first heard they were closing the AK and HS parades.
HOWEVER - now that I anticipate I may be spending more time in queues, I think I will be relieved that I don't have to choose between attractions and the parade.

I really hope they don't bring another parade back to AK. At least not until it's expanded and can be accommodated better than the previous one.

We were pretty happy when they announced the AK parade would be leaving. The walkways weren't big enough to hold a parade, spectators, and enough room for people to easily get around the park if you were near the parade route. It was a pain doing anything near the parade route, even just trying to walk somewhere. You had to maneuver down a walkway big enough for people going one way, but then you also have people walking in the opposite direction towards you and strollers and all that fun stuff. It lead to many times just coming to a stand still while waiting for those ahead to carefully maneuver around others. Then you always had the people that thought it was fine to stop on the 2 foot wide walkway to watch the parade or take pictures.

If they expand into the park and wide open areas like MK or HS, then I wouldn't mind a parade. But for now, not having a parade in AK is great.

maybe even EP ? With the recent end of MJJP at AK and the absence for over a year of a regular parade at HS I got to thinking ...does anyone care that there are no longer parades in these parks ? Is this a permanent end to daily parades at any park that isn't the MK or is this temporary because of current construction at AK and possibly construction as well at HS ? If this is just temporary what would you like them to do with parades at these parks ? And what about EP ? The Tapestry of Nations parade back in the early 2000's was pretty popular...do you think or do you want some type of parade at EP ? If so what kind of theming would you like to see ?
Me , I 'd like to see an evening parade leading up to Illunminations with a bigger and better tomorrow, world peace, global community/harmony theme . As far as HS is concerned I'd like a parade later in the day maybe around 5:00 with a heavy emphasis on PIXAR , MARVEL , and STAR WARS characters...(maybe even classic villians as well) . For AK obviously a very animal jungle themed parade that would now include AVATAR floats and characters .

One of the things that I love about Goofy is his ability to question, "What time is the 3 o'clock Parade?"

I particularly enjoy the afternoon Parades. They are a way for folks who arrived early to complete their day, and Parades are a welcome to those coming in the afternoons.

I remember a Parade in Epcot back in 1999 - it was marvelous.

I like Pixar characters, so I miss the Parade in Hollywood Studios too.

Animal Kingdom will have an evening light show and we can likely assume another Parade when AvatarLand is completed (if not before).

I miss the parades in DAK and DHS. I'm a huge parade fan, I will watch pretty much any parade. And hey, even if you don't like parades, they clear out the rides so bonus there.

I doubt they will ever bring either of them back.
