Hello Diser's

I was wondering if there is a restaurant on the parade route where you could bet a seat and see well. Would you most likely be blocked by everyone standing in front of you? I have some feet problems and was thinking this would be helpful and is there a FastPass for one of the major parades or shows?

You are going to be blocked by people standing and will not see well from the restaurants on the parade route (Plaza Inn, Jolly Holiday Bakery, Carnation Café). You are better off staking out a bench a few hours beforehand or maybe finding a spot by IASW. You may be able to sit in the raised area by the Matterhorn.
Only WOC has a FP.

If you are talking about the Pixar Parade at California Adventure, we have watched it from Wine Country Trattoria more than once. There are tables that have a good view of it, but there is no guarantee that you will get one of those tables. We have gotten one of the tables with a good view before, but we have also gotten a table where DD and DH had to go down to their ramp to watch the parade (which they let them do and even held DD's food in the kitchen during the parade so it would not get cold).

If you are talking about the Pixar Parade, the best view is from the Carthay Circle balcony. We have watched it there several times (and while dining at WCT). The view from CCT will be unobstructed, and a lot of the performers will wave at the guests up on the balcony (we were usually the only ones there too).

You can sit on the curb on Main Street and hold yourself and your family a spot. I've done this before, although you have to be there a good hour or more before the parade. And even then, be prepared for people to squeeze themselves into your held spots. I've also experienced parents putting their kids into spots I'm holding for my kids, or simply standing them directly in front of me -- even if I'm clearly in the frontiest front spot there can be, LOL.

However, I think you then get asked to stand for the parade. At least that's what happened the last time we were there.

On Main Street a few of the "storefronts" have little "veranda" areas that are up higher and have chairs. There aren't many and they also look into the sun. But if you are willing to wait well ahead of time, you can have a place to sit to watch throughout the Main Street Parade.

And keep in mind that there is lots of stuff that is well over people's heads, so although you wouldn't see everything by sitting back, away from the curbs, you will still see a lot.

What is CCT? I will look into Carthay Circle. Thank you.

If you mean the Paint the Night parade in Disneyland we have watched it several times while eating on the patio of Carnation Café. The view is a little obstructed by people standing but the floats are huge and we still totally enjoy it while finishing our dinner and dessert. Make sure your bill is paid when the parade starts and you can then exit the exterior gate at the end of it (Mickey float) and gather in Main Street to watch the fireworks after too. This will require standing but only for about 15-20 minutes. For the 8:30 parade we make our reservation for 7:40 (or close to it) and arrive a little early to request the patio. It works great!

When I was there a couple weeks ago, we sat on the "curb" across from the Crystal Arcade.
We were not asked to stand up for the parade.
There are also some benches on a little porch in front of one of the Main Street shops, I forget which one.
Those would work nicely for you, as they are elevated above the sidewalk itself. I was there about 2 hours before the parade, and they had already been staked out.
I have also watched the Celebrate (?) Parade in years past from an outer-edge table at the Corner Bakery, and the view was great!
You may just have to some sitting and waiting for the parade...but it is a fantastic parade!
