so I realized ive got good seats for f and woc to try and get to, but what about the sound sational parade? I'm listening to the podcast from oh months ago, but it makes me think where i should try an sit for it?

(we will be trying to watch the flag ceremony after, so a nice place near flag area may be good but im asking the dl vets who have seen this parade because i haven't.:thumbsup2

Honestly, anywhere on the parade route is good as long as you get there 1hour-45 min ahead of time. Mainstreet is always my preferred viewing and I usually sit on the adventureland side as it is in the sun, but less crowded. Often, by the time the 4pm parade starts, the sun has gone down enough that you are in the shade by parade time. You can also watch from the main street station and get a nice aerial view.

ok id try find shade just based on my skin and how heat(sun beating down) hits me hard, but we will umbrella

ty ill be keeping my eyes open then can any one tell me the parade rout?

I wouldn't wait an hour and 45 minutes for soundsational.. 10 minutes tops!

I am not sure I understand what you are saying here, but I think you are saying that you will have an umbrella to shield the sun. If you choose to do this, please realize that no one will be able to see beyond your umbrella and select a back row spot for the parade. I am very fair and don't think the sun is that bad in the afternoon. If you want a front row spot for the parade, I don't think you will need an umbrella for the sun at that hour, fwiw.

oh no the umbrela will be closed when it starts, im saying if i am standing in sun to wait, well i may open it but id defiantly close it when it starts ty dreams

We really like to watch the parade from the area with the benches along the back side of the Matterhorn, right down from Alice in Wonderland and the bathrooms there. It can get shady, the parade comes really close and you have good viewing.

I totally agree with this!! We got lucky last Summer finding that spot. We stood sort of across the walkway from the Pixie Hollow entrance and stood up against a small cement wall that had a ledge you could sit and rest on. It was nice and shady and the kids were able to pin trade across the way with the CM's at the Pixie Hollow entrance while we waited. It never got real crowded there (no one in front of us or crowding on the sides) and we got nice attention from the parade dancers. I think it is definitely an overlooked area, but one our family will certainly return to!! ::yes::
