Parade Taping?

I just read that the one of the days of Parade Taping is the day I am at Magic Kingdom.

Is this going to make it unbearably busy, hecktic, hard to get around, ect? Or should it have little effect on my day?

Also does anyone know who the performers are? I'd hate to find out after that someone I loved was there.

We were there on the Friday of parade taping last year and even though Main Street and the area around the castle were a bit of a mess, everything else was fine.
