Parade Taping and Discounts

Any guesses/history on how the parade taping affects discounts? We have been looking to arrive on 11/30 to get in before Pop Warner and hopefully get free dining

The parade taping itself doesn't affect discounts because most people don't realize it's being taped at the beginning of December. Discounts are offered when there are more rooms available than Disney would like and they want to fill those rooms. Typically the week after Thanksgiving is slow, but since they've started offering FD during that week it's gotten more and more crowded. No one knows if they'll offer it again, but you can hope.

And historically, there hasn't been FD during Pop Warner week. Thanksgiving is early this year and so is Pop Warner week.

I thought Pop Warner started on Saturday that is why I was looking at arriving on Friday. Maybe I need to get there by Thursday 11/29 to have a better shot at a good discount.
