It has been a long time since I had a group that wanted to catch a parade. We'll be there for the Christmas parade and need to figure out a spot. Is there a spot that you don't have to wait for hours? We'll have five short kids with us so front row would be best. It definitely doesn't have to be on Main Street so maybe the end of the parade route?

We've always liked to watch the parade near Small World. Last time we were there we sat on the steps lining the street to Small World, but we've also had good luck standing or sitting right in front of the ride (With our backs to Small World.)

Yes, the ends of the parade route: either small world or the train station/city hall area/great moments with Mr. Lincoln area.
We saw the Christmas parade near the train station and lined up about 1.5hrs prior to the evening start time.
The first run time was less crowded, but it's nice to see the Christmas lights and everything illuminated.

The parade runs twice a day right now. The 3:30 parade starts at Small World and ends on Main Street. The evening parade is the reverse - Main Street to Small World. We were there a couple weeks ago and were in front of City Hall for the first parade and right on the curb. We probably waited at least an hour though. Got snacks - popcorn. Took turns going to the bathroom. Characters came by early to entertain crowds a bit (I have a pic of Minnie time stamp from 2:58 and we were in our spot at that point). Made friends and chatted with neighbors.

Thank you! I think we'll try to be by Small World for the second parade then.

It seems counterintuitive, but in front of City Hall of Moments with Lincoln usually have plenty of space. You can get there early and sit on the curb, but if you're OK standing then it's not a problem to get there later.
