Paper Book Covers!!!!!!!

I hate them!!! HATE HATE HATE them!!!! I'm so awful at putting them on!

DS has two books that are too big for the stretchy book covers, so I have to cover them with paper. AAAGGGHHH!

I just don't know what the heck is wrong with me...I'm pretty creative and crafty with everything else, why do I SUCK SO BADLY at putting these STUPID things on?!?!

And I'm absolutely positive that they will get torn within the next couple of weeks so I'll have to repeat this whole ridiculous cycle AGAIN!!!

I would rather CLEAN GROUT or even GO TO THE GYNOCOLOGIST than cover a book!!

I have very few talents, so bear with me while I brag...or just skip my post!

I'm the Queen of Book Covering! I discovered my special talent in grade school...our school made the students do it in class. If you didn't get it done, you had to give up recess until you figured it out. If you got any sort of tear, you had to put a new one on.

Not only did I do my own, I did everyone else's. All year, every year. They used to time me by how many seconds it took.

I don't get why people have trouble, honestly! Fold the top half. Stick the book on it. Fold the bottom half and pinch it down with your finger while you slide the book off. Rub that crease all the way across. Put the book on, bring the left side over. Lift the cover, bend the left side over it - as you close the cover it creases itself. Flip it over and do the same thing with the other side that you did before. That's how I do it.

If you want it to last, put contac paper over whatever it is you're covering the book with...lasts all year.

No, I'm in Ohio. But I'd be happy to do it if you were here. I do my sister's kids, too. She can't. She called once and said she'd been trying for 30 minutes to cover ONE BOOK!!!!

Other people are blessed with million dollar talents like singing, dancing, acting, sports... I get book-covering.

I remenber making book covers from the brown paper grocery bags. The best part was drawing on them throughout the school year.

I saw Jumbo Book Covers the other day but I can't remember if it was at Target or at Office Max-I've been doing way too much school supply shopping looking for the "right" school supplies.

Staples usually has the extra large book covers but they are around $4 each!
I bought a couple for each child but told them they're going to use them for at least 2 years.
