Panicking about FP+ Selections

Hi!

It is the 60-day mark until my family's vacation, and I am the one responsible for making the FP+ selections. I am doing this for five members of my family: Me, DM, DF, DSis1, and DSis2

So far, I have done the first two full days of our trip, and I am thoroughly confused and am beginning to panic.

This is what I have according to my Excel spreadsheet. This is based off the options I selected when choosing the FP+
August 8th
  • Mickey Mouse FP+ for all 5 members of the family.
  • A&E FP+ for all 5 members
  • 7DMT FP+ for all 5 members
August 9th
  • TSMM FP+ for all 5 members
  • Movie Ride FP+ for all 5 members
  • Star Tours FP+ for all 5 members

I just checked the FP+ selections under My Reservations, and I am freaking out. Though the times are the same, everything else is different.

August 8th
  • Mickey mouse is only scheduled for DSis1
  • A&E is only scheduled for DM
  • 7DMT is only scheduled for DF
  • Buzz Lightyear is somehow scheduled for me
August 9th
  • The Great Movie Ride and Star Tours are scheduled for DSis1
  • TSMM is not scheduled at all.
Is this a glitch on the My Reservations, a FP+ glitch, or just one of the pains of MDE? I am deathly afraid that we will go up on the first day, expect to get into our first FP+, and find out that only one person was able to get the selection.

Afraid I can't help too much, but I did see a post on here yesterday saying the same thing had happened, and when they went back and checked later on it had changed and they were all scheduled in.
Did you do it on the app? I had problems linking my tickets to MDE on the app (linked them but it said I hadn't or something like that) so I called Disney and they were extremely helpful and it was telling them they were all linked regardless of what MDE was telling me, he also said they had been having a lot of problems with the app. When I went on my computer it told me they were all linked so it was just the app messing up! Hopefully it will just be a glitch!

Are you on a computer or doing this through the app? I would recommend NOT using the app. I have FP scheduled and when I look in the app, it will only show one of the eight members of our party as having a FP. When I look through the site, it shows it correctly.

Unfortunately, I am doing it on the MDE app. I am using DF's account and can only access it on there. Coincidentally, DSis1 and DSis2 are not a part of the party if I try to book FP+ from my account on my computer.
 

Def a glitch on the DME app , if you look via website on a computer it will all be fine , I had the same issue don't worry
 
Unfortunately, I am doing it on the MDE app. I am using DF's account and can only access it on there. Coincidentally, DSis1 and DSis2 are not a part of the party if I try to book FP+ from my account on my computer.

I assume if you complete it on the app, when you check on the computer it should be okay! Or if you call the helpline they'll be able to check that they're definitely there for you.
 
Our fastpass window is coming up on Weds. Is there a certain time of day that you can start making the fastpasses or will I be able to do it at 6 a.m. eastern time. Want to get it done before work and I leave at 7:10 for work. Thanks for any help.

As an aside, if I have used my three FPs for the day and am going to the kiosk to get a 4th, how can I get them for my whole party? When I sign for the fourth, is there an option to then put the green check mark for all of my connected "friends" to get theirs as well?

I'm tempted to wave the white surrender flag and give up. I've proceeded to make my FP+ for the rest of the trip, and I seem to be pleasing nobody.

DSis1+DSis2 have very little stamina and did half-days during our previous trips. DSis2 also has special needs, so I've been trying to book rides that DSis2 will like and then booking the attractions she would hate during the part of the day where she will be back at the hotel. Of course, I do not know exactly which parent will be taking DSis2 back or if DSis1 will be going with them or staying with me. DSis1 also hates my FP+ selections. She is mad that I did a FP+ for Soarin' and not Test Track, when she knows it will be easier to do single rider for TT.

I am also debating whether I should do a backup FP+ of 7DMT and A&E on another MK day if MDE really messes up the first day's FP+ when I check back tomorrow.

At this rate, I am tempted to make only FP+ selections for me and tell the others to worry about themselves. :stir:

Mickey Mouse FP+? I saw him 3 times just because this past week, and never saw a time over 15 minutes. TinkerBelle which is in the same building was actually longer most of the time. We're talking about Mickey in the Main Street theater on the right side of the entrance right? I would save my FP+, and just go some time in the evening.

A&E..get FP+ if you can. We got lucky, and did a 39 minute Standby even though it said 210 minutes on the sign. I'll just chalk that one up to a Disney Magic moment.

7DMT..get FP+. I never saw a line shorter than 60 minutes, and that was an hour before park closing. The people on Standby to this are insane. If you really want to get on this, and not blow half your day in a sweltering line guard your FP+ with you life. :)

Buzz Lightyear? Dont FP+ this. Tommorowland in the evening has doable Standby waits. Most waiting I did on this was 20 minutes just after the 10pm fireworks show. Lines can get long at times, but this ride is not always that much of a wait. I would try and secure a FP+ to something else.

At the park using the phone app was iffy. Sometimes it worked other times the loading icon took forever. I had a little better luck on the wifi in the room, but not much. Disney needs to get its act together, and get their web applications improved.
 
What ever you do once you have the fp+ you want do not try to change anything on the app. Had a fp for a and e and 7dmt and my daughter decided she didn't want to do splash so I tried to change just me and her to something else, I lost everything! This happened as we were standing at the entrance waiting for rope drop. I was shocked! I grabbed my daughter and booked it to a and e and made it with an hour wait. As I was in line the whole system went down not just the app. We spent over an hour trying to get everything fixed with guest relations and they finally had to give us a written fp to 7dmt. Some how my kids ended up on my sisters acct and we could not link me back up with them, I finally gave up and we rode everything stand by. Guest relations told me to never use the app because it's too glitchy! It was a nightmare!!!
