panic- ressie was auto cancelled?

Anyone else having problems? I know the system was down yesterday... and all my ADRs were linked to this ressie--- now what.

I'm on hold right now so I will update when it is worked out.

Not a Disney, but this happened with my wedding at Sandals in Jamaica. Imagine my panic. Apparently there was some rule about paying the wedding deposit within 10 days of making the reservation and my TA never told us about this. I was furious. Thankfully we got it rescheduled, but were forced to change the time...which I was not happy about.

Well normally auto cancel is what happens if you do not pay your balance by the 45 day mark, but I was 47 days out still.

They fixed it and none of the ADRs had been cancelled. So everything is good again. Boy did I sweat it there for a minute. This has been a rough day. My dd went in to have a cap put back on and ended up needing two fillings ($350 we didn't plan on) and my son threw up at school (second day of school, poor guy). But things are starting to look up...

I added an ADR, lunch in Norway with the princesses on Oct 9th! I was so surprised, that is Columbus day weekend and it is F&W festival. I was sure it would be booked solid.

We got married in Sandals as well! And we had a problem! (surprise, surprise)

In our case, we reserved Sandals, Negril a year...yes...ONE YEAR in advance and paid for it within 6 months, so we were PLENTY early. Booked the wedding package at Negril and all. (Sandals Negril was the most expensive of all of their resorts at the time)

Arrive at the airport in Montego Bay, and they tell us that there was a problem with booking and we have to stay at Montego Bay the first night (A much cheaper resort), then they will transfer us the next day.

I was livid! They basically gave our room away and didn't have one in Negril! Food and drinks are included, so it wasn't like they could comp us anything. I complained but didn't get anywhere....they wouldn't even upgrade our room (I guess because they had none left).

After all was said and done, they sent me a check for $250.

That was 11 1/2 years ago....and we never went back. We went to Dom Rep for our 5 year anniv instead.

I will probably never go to a Sandals again....


Well...back to our regularly scheduled Disney thread....

I think the issue with Sandals is mainly in dealing with the US branch. Once we got to the resort, they were more than happy to agree to any of our requests.

Of course our biggest problem was with our TA and her lack of service and follow-up. And she is my MIL's best friend. Oh there are more stories that could sprout from that one. I could have an entire thread on my wedding, reception and that whole fiasco.

We haven't told her we're going to WDW yet. Last time we mentioned the possibility to her, she turned to FIL and said "want to go to Disney World".

She's really not that bad. But since my husband is her only child, she is somewhat clingy. I, on the other hand, am extremely independent and not used to having anyone hovering over me. Lucky for me, she lives 200 miles away...and I've already told my husband that this is about as close as we'll ever live. I can only imagine what she'll be like when we have kids.
