Pandora - First Visit During the Day or After Dark?

If the attractions are both indoors, why would time of day matter?

It's not just about going on the rides, it's about the entire new "World." It will be bioluminescent at night, so it will be quite a sight to see when everything is lit up, even when just walking around!

I am pretty pumped for this part of our trip, but know very little about it so far. Was sort of waiting to see what the first responses to visiting were.... Thank you for the response.

My first visit will be one of the AP previews. I chose the first slot of the day, and then booked a couple other ride FP, dinner, and a ROL FP. I probably won't be back after that to see it until my next trip in September.

We were lucky enough to get a DVC preview on 5/22 and then we are going on opening day for morning EMH to ride the rides, taking a long midday break and going back that night for ROL FP and to walk around Pandora at night.

Am I foolish to think that the 11pm=1am EMH at AK won't be a complete madhouse on Sunday 5/28? (probably, LOL)

We will be at WDW during the opening of Pandora and my first instinct was to AVOID AK from Saturday til we left on Monday. However, now that I've investigated further, I might be tempted to hop back over there on Sunday night. All we are doing Monday is flying home so no big deal there. I just don't want to be at a crowd level 1,000 and not be able to see/do anything. We would only be going for Pandora as we have a full AK day earlier in the week. We've never watched the movie and it would be purely a Disney Imagineering experience for us. I know it's a personal preference thing but still just looking for opinions/validation.
