Good afternoon Disers!

I absolutely adore Carnation Cafe in Disneyland, they serve pancakes, fruit and waffles in the morning and there is ample seating even though the line for food can be quite long even in the off season when attraction lines dont top 20 minutes. For those of you not familiar with it, its counter service but in a restaurant like setting, the indoor section is very open and airy with birds coming and going (probably eating dropped crumbs or something) and the outdoor section is an expansive patio. Is there a restaurant similar to it in a park in WDW?

I can't think of any place in any of the parks like this. But will bump up for others to see.

Alright eeyore, thanks for letting me know at least that I'm not likely to find a similar locale :).

Breakfast options in the parks seem to be rather scarce unless you want a character buffet.

I don't recall anything like the Carnation Cafe at WDW, but we definitely like the breakfast pocket at the Fountainview Cafe in Epcot. There's very little seating, but its a pleasant location right next to the fountain.

Does Tusker House at AK serve breakfast? That might be an option. You can also get pancakes and waffles at the value and moderate resort food courts.

We love the croissants and breakfast pockets from Fountainview Cafe at Epcot. Also at Epcot is Electric Umbrella, which serves a pretty standard fastfood breakfast.

Tusker House serves a great breakfast at AKL; but, alas, no pancakes.

MK has the Main Street Bakery for cinnamon rolls and other pastries.

MGM has Starring Rolls; but I haven't grabbed breakfast from here in some time, so I won't comment.

I worked in Main Street Restuarants and specifically at Carnation for two years in the 80's. Carnation is actually was a sit down restaurant and I would never consider it counter service in a table service setting. That's just my thoughts.... It was beautiful with an ice cream fountain inside and outside had a huge patio. I know that they changed it during the rehab and it is now all outside seating.
The only thing that I think would be close to the same menu would be at a hotel. Try the Kona Cafe.... they have pancakes, French toast, Tonga toast, eggs and omeletes. Or you can try the Grand Floridian Cafe for Mickey Waffles, eggs benedict or pancakes. Hope this helps!
I often think Walt must have loved breakfast because main street at Disneyland had Town Square Cafe (Omelets all day long... but now closed), Carnation, and the Plaza all served a big breakfast.
