Panasonic Lumix: Yay or nay?

I'm in the market for a new digital camera, primarily for my WDW trips and for some eBay stuff (my current camera is AINCENT!!!).

Anyhow, I'm looking at the Panasonic Lumix. Any thoughts on it, positive or negative?

I believe there may be several different Lumix models. Maybe someone could help you better if give them a certain model. This board has been very helpful to me.

Yay.

We Now own two different LUMIX models, and think they are the BEST values around.

LZ3 at $150(ciruit city/best buy) gives you a 6x zoom and IS, nothing else in that price range gives you either.

No it is not perfect, lots of noise at higher ISOs is really the only complaint. But with IS you should be able to keep the ISO low in most situations.

Sorry, gang, I did forget to include the model number. It is DMC-LZ3S, 5 megapixel, 6x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom. For the price, it seems pretty decent.

Well the camera is $148 at CircuitCity, which has a 30 day price protection plan. So if you find a lower advertised price within 30 days of purchase(not including rebates) they will refund the difference. If you find it in a black friday ad you would have to go in on that day for the price adjustment.
