Good morning, everybody!
Sometimes, our families sabatoge our best efforts because of their own insecurities . . .
Perhaps if you reframe your thinking in terms of better health, more energy, glossier hair . . . Baby steps - add healthy things like veggies and choose to say no thank you to less healthy things. After a while, it just becomes the way you eat.
It was probably easier for me, because I don't care if I get skinny or not - I am what I am - BUT if I DIDn't go on the diet I risk heart problems, circulation problems, eye problems that could result in premature death, blindness or loss of appendages. It was pretty clear, if the family want me around long term, they will support my efforts. Period.
Chosing wellness makes it a easy to choose to eat healthier and delay the 'instant' gratification of mindless eating. Losing weight is a very nice bonus

I don't make a point of saying oh, i can't have this or that, I just put less of it on my plate, or say I'm full, just give me a bite of yours. And then I have that bite and savor it and stop.
Usually. Except for last Sunday and what I will henceforth refer to as the "great carrot cake debacle".
Today
Pool done - only 10 minutes in the gym - I hurt everywhere.
Grocerys done
cooking, baking and packing underway.
Sunny this morning for a couple hours, but now it's clouding up again. Just 10 miles west of here they got snow measured in feet. we got rain. Odd, how that works.
Happy day, all.
