Does anyone have a Southwest flight out of the Houston Hobby airport? Disney shuttle will not be going there. What are the best alternatives?

So excited to have finished my FE exchange gifts this week. Also made an FE holder. After getting it made, it may be a bit wide, but we will deal with it.

We will leave TX on the Thursday prior to being on ship on Saturday. Planning to spend the day at Catalina Island, and do a walking food tour. We get to eat and learn a bit about the history of the island! A win/win!

Neither of us have ever been to Catalina Island. Anyone here been before? If there are "do not miss" adventures, I would appreciate the input.

I am so ready to see what cabin we will be assigned. From what's been posted here on the Disboards, I guess I shouldn't get too anxious since we probably won't know until about two weeks prior. I did find a "Sticky" under the "Disney Cruise Line Forums" that explained GTY and IGT, OGT, & VGT. Very informative. I am going to post the link and hope it works. We have a group of around 23 people that have pitched in to hire a company to get us and our luggage to Hobby. The scheduled pick up time is 10:30am.

Sad and happy news--Gib & I won't be going on the cruise, which is so sad. We were so looking forward to it, and I have a complete wardrobe! I just got a job in another city, and they want me to start Sept 10th. I think I'll like the new position, although it is not exactly my first choice of location. but it's a step up, so that's really good. As a new employee, I am not eligible for vacation for quite some time. So instead of cruise excitement, we're in the throes of moving madness!! We got a short term apartment till our condo here sells, and are deciding b/w movers. Next hurdle is to see whether our trip insurance will cover us. I hope you all have a magical time, and I'll be watching to see the photos on everyone's trip reports!! Maybe we'll finally meet some of you next year.

Very happy to have found this group! We booked this cruise a while ago on our last Disney cruise and can't wait to spend such a long vacation on the Wonder.

I have been lucky enough to sail with Disney many times but never joined a meet up group so I am excited to meet other Disney cruisers!

I just got a job in another city, and they want me to start Sept 10th. Yes, Dena has been busy making all her FE gifts and our bags to hang outside. They are as cute as can be! I won't give clues that would give her FE gifts away, but you guys are going to love them! She is sooooo creative! I love it because creative does NOT describe me. Dena is also great at making lots of the arrangements for the trip. I am going to hire her as my personal travel agent from now on!
We are looking forward to our day on Catalina Island, so as Dena said, if anyone has any suggestions as to what we should not miss, let us know.
I think our husbands are getting jealous of our voyage. Wish they could have joined us! (but someone has to stay home and work...hahahah)

School starts next week! I am really wanting us all to be packed this week! We leave early AM on September 7th (Yes, my kids will only be in school two weeks before I take them out for three weeks! I don't know what I was thinking...I will enjoy those two weeks so much!). I think we may try to hit 6 Flags this week when the crowds are low to get us appreciating Disneyland... I'm thinking I will have all my work stuff wrapped up in the next few days unless something new comes in! I am so looking forward to our adventure and meeting you all!
