Our flight does not leave until late afternoon, It would be great to hook up with others for a super shuttle to share the expense.

" On our Panama Canal cruise someone organized a book exchange. She hung two large gift bags(one of adults and one for kids) on the rail outside her cabin and people dropped off and picked up books throughout the cruise. At the end she gave all the left over books to the crew. It was awesome." Anybody else interested? Now that I've got my favourites on my Kindle, I've got a ton of books to recycle. No need to sign up, no need to bring any books, just help yourself. I've a feeling that we'll have plenty of time to do some reading.

I've switched my reading mostly to my Sony Reader, but that didn't stop me from acquiring a large stash of books from when I worked at Borders and then the store closing sales later on. I'll be more than happy to bring some regular books with me to swap and/or leave for the crew. I wonder if I can find my copy of "Poseidon Adventure". Hmmmm...

Related to the book discussion: I have been reading an amazing book about the Panama Canal-- The Path Between the Seas by David McCullough. Fascinating history about the construction of the canal.

Read this before our trip through in 2008. Really interesting. Got dry in some spots but not enough to put it down.

Please do come along. The more the merrier. There are a couple of others on our cruise who are doing the Segway tour also. We are booked for the 10:30 tour. They will send a taxi to port at 10:00. This is an additional cost besides the tour.

We're on this. Should be loads of fun. Segways are great although it seems someone always falls off! lol.

On the reservation page the times pulldown menu shows 0800, 1000, 1400, 1600, or 1700. I am assuming you booked the 1000 time? Or does he give you different times when he contacts you?

I did choose the 10:00 time. In a confirmation email I was given the specifics of being picked up by taxi at 10:00 and the tour to begin at 10:30. We were given instructions on where to make contact with the taxi they will send. In the area for comments below, you could let them know you want to be with others on the tour from the Wonder. We are doing the Historic Tour, BTW.

My DH and I enjoy watching the Disney classics in our stateroom. I saw them all as a child but I really appreciate them more as an adult.

I like this idea of bringing a couple and swapping them with others. I will bring a couple and when I'm finished I'll trade them so others can read them. I just started reading 1 of 2 books I got at the library about the Panama Canal. I can't wait!
