Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

This is my second Disney cruise. Is the online check in date sooner if you have more Disney cruises under your belt? I read some have already been able to check in already while mid June is my assigned time.

Sorry I have been inactive for a couple weeks - end of school and a lot of folks traveling - we are out of town ourselves till Monday, but I finally had time to take a breath! Hey, everyone! Joining in for the chat! My husband and I will be sailing on this cruise as Travel Agents and I always love some pre-cruise chat. I do have to say, we are not big on "meets" and that sort of thing. (Hope that's not rude!) Of course, I'm happy to meet people and say hi onboard, but we're just not into the whole planning a meet up type of thing. (Again, no offense!)

This will be my 12th cruise, and by far, my longest. My husband and I met on a DCL trip, and then got married ON one a few years later. This cruise happens to be for our 8 year anniversary cruise and we LOVE celebrating onboard, since that's where it all started.

I'm going to read through the thread and see what I've missed. Getting SUPER excited!!!!!!!!!

Ha...typing while bouncing around in the back of an RV sometimes you accidentally hit send! I was saying I am much more consistent on Facebook than on the DIS boards - but you can't beat the information you find on here!

I still have not purchased my DL tickets. I am holding out for more YES folks. If anyone has kids that are 3rd grade or higher that would want to do a class at DL the week before we sail let me know! My daughter really wants to do this and I really want the cheaper tickets for the family!

This is not good news! I booked our return flight out of Hobby. Looks like I might have to cancel the Disney transportation. Has anyone figured out a reasonable shuttle service from the Port to Hobby?

We are flying out of Hobby also. Called DCL this morning and as of next week they are stopping service to Hobby so we need to find other transportation, too. As well as get our money refunded since we have already paid for our transfers. We booked on points but my girlfriend is a TA and is staying with me right now. She called the AAA TA DCL reservation line and found out for certain. She says that there is a company that charges by auto not by passenger. It might be the one you got. It might be worth looking into several of us taking a larger van and split the cost, depending on flight times. Our flight leaves at 2:10 PM and there would be 4 of us.

I know - the City Pass went up a bit recently as well. I think if we can't get a YES group together I will do the City Pass since we will be there for a week during off season, but I am really hopeful others will come to make the class possible.

It sounds like fun and if I had kids I would sign them up. Unfortunately our kids are all grown and aren't going. -(

There will be 3 rooms, not sure which rooms #'s are yet but will get them to you as soon as i find out, it will be Chris, myself and Deanna in one, Jeremy and Brittany in a second and Larry and Tracy in a third.
Larry and Tracy are adults.

So it looks like there are at least 4 groups (10 passengers) that are going to Hobby. From the website I posted they have a 14 pax van for $180 and a 10 pax limo for $250 if we go at the same time (that's if all of the luggage can be carried in one vehicle).

The website says nothing about luggage so we would have to call. Since we have to be off the ship by 11 it shouldn't be a problem for us all to leave at the same time.
