So the end of our last sea day before going to Castaway Cay all day tomorrow, firstly the course correction we went around and out to the Atlantic and not the Jamaica and Cuba route to avoid the tail end of the hurricane, whilst the seas have been more active today in the Atlantic, we have had a good fairly sunny day and avoided any problems, Hanna we are told is far behind us and CC is ok.
Today there was $30k Jackpot bingo, and won in the 4pm session, the top decks were empty in the morning and afternoon when the Bingo was on- I do not play it.
We had Don Ducky Williams sign our lithographs and the queue for that was rather long again, and had some drinks in Cove Café to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, some nice Dissers have given us cards in our room for this.
Now we cannot say who our next door neighbours are, but concierge look after them a lot, and that room was vacant from Panama day, not sure why it became vacant but we noticed on Panama day no one used it bar our stateroom hostess. We keep getting young kids either call our in room phone or knock on the door, asking for someone else, the phone calls are getting a little annoying.
They had a a boat building competition final at the Goofy pool today, I must say a lot of the entries where fantastic a lot of hard work gone into them, some replicas of the Disney magic where brilliant, but there were creative designs made from anything on the ship a catamaran from old navigators around the milk cartons you get in topsiders for breakfast and some rafts made from the sanitary hand wipe bottles from the restaurant entrances.
One person just put a couple of topsider trays together with some buoyancy stuff in the middle, and one a prize! They tested them out for who long they could float and CMs jumped in and kids kicked the water to sink the boats.
The Captain watched intensely, lets hope he doesnt get ideas for the new ships, the Disney sanitary bottle ship doesnt sound as good as Disney Dreams
Dinner was the Captains Gala they gave us cocktails in the Atrium again, then we were in Lumieres, in fact every semi formal and formal night we have been there. We had campaign to celebrate our anniversary, and the kids had their Palo Soufflé, with the hot White and dark chocolate source. Infact they ran another two off for DW and me so two nights running we had that, and I had to find space for the Cherries Jubilee.
The show tonight was Disney dreams and I love the snow in the WDT, its so nice in the beauty and Beast part. The Lion king song is also a great rousing part of the show, met more Dissers there and Captain Crash Tom, I think was doing his Doctor Who bit in a Tux and training shoes.
DS will get a cake Sunday night as its his birthday early next week when we are on our way home.
In an hour there is the Dessert buffet and I hope to go to that we will be all at CC at 7.45am tomorrow and all ashore is 8.15am, we leave for PC at 5pm.
Must remember to get my last two Pins for the cruise hopefully the Wonder left those at CC today for us.
Tomorrow is going to be busy we have to pack and there are a lot of gifts photos and lithographs etc to pack, as well as the statutory T shirts from all of the ports of call and the cruise. Excess luggage is going to be a high cost! And thats just my belly!!!! He He.
Now some final thoughts
If Snow White orders some extra pictures from Shutters, will she say someday my prints will come?
Going back to Columbia and going up the steep hill from the city to La Popa, its a hair raising experience for everyone, well bar Christian that is
I herd there was an accident between a coach driver going up the hill on the hairpins and a priest, both died and went to heaven at the same time, St Peter said the person who did the most for god would go in first, the priest stepped forward and said thats me! St Peter said No is the
DCL bus driver, as when you are in church everyone falls asleep, when the driver goes up to La Popa, everyone on the coach prays and prays and prays.
And after my dinner why did my Mushrooms go to the show? Because it was a funguy.
Talking Christian he is a very very good CD, and you can see why everyone raves about him, he is nearly always present at everything, makes great announcements, and also is hands on with issues such as queue management, he is observant, Brent for example was a problem with the queues for the tenders in Italy, nothing happened much, here any problem is often considered in advance and he pre empts it.
He is now on top of my list for great CDs with Rachel next and then Andy who is no longer with DCL.
7.00AM Sunday.
Could get on the Dis last night even though I had an internet connection, updated
We went to the Dessert buffet last night which opened early at 11.05pm advertised at 11.15pm, again as expected a great offering of all types of cakes, chocolate fountains ( fondue) two lines each side of the aisle of Lumeries, and very busy indeed.
WE are currently approaching CC at 7.00am we are close by the stateroom TV, I cannot see it as yet, looks very overcast and cloudy, but it is early and hopefully will burn off, Sunrise was just a few mins ago, off to Topsiders and then aim for CC, entered into the CC sunben stakes, a quick half mile sprint, but I will give the hammock race a miss!
Monday have to collect passports from WDT at 6am breakfast is in AP at 7.00am, and have to remember to get that PIN tonight and put the pager back, and put the luggage out and
