I saw a thread the other day and a poster mentioned putting your stone into the oven while running the self clean cycle...well I did it last night and let me tell you, my pizza stone looks BRAND NEW! My friend saw it this morning and was like wow, I had no idea that pizza pan was that color, I always thought it was supposed to be dark brown. I plan on doing this with some of my other stones next time I clean the oven.

Thanks for posting this. I am going to start as a Pampered Chef consultant after the first of the year. I'll add that information to my presentation!

That's good to know. I had no idea. Mine isn't black, yet, but it does have some stains on it. I'll have to do it soon. :thumbsup2

Good to know... now I have a reason to clean my oven! I love my pampered chef stoneware... it is very sturdy... the piece I dropped didn't break, but it broke my foot! Ten days before my Disney 07 vacation.
