I have heard conflicting info about making reservations for Palo. I was told by DCL that reservations can NOT be made in advance. Is this true or is there some way that I can make a res in advance? Hubby is Italian and is DYING to go ..I want to make sure he's happy!

Reservations can be made in advance under certain circumstances.

1)If you purchase the Romantic Sea Package.
2)If you are in Cat 1-3, although that doesn't even seem consistent. I have been in concierge both times and this is the only time I've been able to pre-book, although I made the phone call to initiate the reservations.
3)I also think if you are land/sea package and concierge on land you can also.

There may be more that someone else knows about, but these are the ones I read about on the boards.

I would recommend the Romantic Escape at Sea package. After reading this board and researching the pros and cons, I am going to try to book it tomorrow. Got the bosses OK just a while ago. With this you get a Palos dinner (reservations in advance), spa treatment for two, turndown service one night, Breakfast in bed one morning, Romance Basket in room upon arrival. Hope I did not leave anything out but there are other threads dealing with this package as well. - Mike

I wish I could book that Romance at Sea pkg. I'm a cast member and I'm almost positive that I am not eligible for that. It sounds like an amazing add on.
I guess I will just have to run to the res desk when I get there on sat..
thanks for the replies though

Where do you find the cost of adding or how to add the REAS package? I don't want to bug my TA about it until I learn more about approx costs.

You can call DCL to inquire, although you probably will need to to it through your TA, but I believe the cost is $299.

If you are on concierge, or have purchased a package that allows you to make your Palo reservation in advance..that is the only way to make advance reservations right now.

Otherwise..you just go to the Palo reservation site when you board the ship to make your reservation. The site will be listed in the navigator/information page they give you at check in.

The food is delicious..yes, Italian..but, still americanized Italian.

I just don't get..why disney is so afraid to serve actual food..lol.
