Has anyone ever eaten at Palo several times during one cruise? We're going on the Sept 28th 4-day and are seriously considering it!

We really enjoyed it on our first cruise last March - brought a great bottle of Far Niente cabernet with us and they just charged us a small corkage fee. It turned out to be a very special night for us and we'd love to do it several times. Thought we'd eat there in place of Animators Palate.

Do they let you do this?

Hi: We've been on the Magic twice -- 4 and 7 day cruises and both times we ate at Palo two evenings. It's easier to get reservations on a 7 day, but you can always place your name on a wait list. We were on the Wonder two weeks ago and saw many empty tables (we had a 6pm dinner reservation). We just booked the 9/18/04 Magic and were talking about booking at Palo for at least 2 evenings. Enjoy! Jan

On our 7 day cruise, we did two nights at Palo, brunch and than high tea.

On our 4 day cruise we only did one night at Palo.

On our upcoming 3 day cruise, we don't plan at eating at Palo. :(

We cruise in late Oct. the Magic is not usually full. We have had 2 dinners 1 brunch and I went to a High Tea in 1 cruise. I am sure we could have gone more on that cruise because there was a very large convention going on and no one was going to Palo. In fact the pools were empty too it was like we had the ship to ourselves all day but when evening hit, the shows were very crowded.
We have cruised since that cruise (without a convention going on) and still have had no problems getting a table at Palo. They'll tell you to check in with them in the evenings.
May be a little different on the Wonder since your sailing for shorter periods of time, I hope not for your sake.

We went on the 10/5 Magic last year, and the boat was about 2/3 full, so we were able to get reservations for a second night. We got our first reservation when we got on board, and then after the first dinner made another reservation. If we hadn't felt so bad about not eating with our son, then we probably would have done it a third time!

So it really depends on how full the ship is or if there are reservations available, and if you WANT to. We felt the $10 or so surcharge for it was well worth it. While we had a great experience throughout the ship in regards to service, the food and service at Palo were EXCELLENT.
