Palo High Tea and Spa/massage questions..

I've tried www.castawayclub.com (I LOVE that site) to find when Palo High Tea is offered?

Is it at sea days only? And I'm assuming it's afternoon.

I have to write my 'divide and conquer' list as DH is going to do all the Palo ressies while I wait in line for Spa/massage.

We're doing the 7-day eastern May 29th.

Oh, one more thing..

Are spa/massage services everyday? I might leave St. Maarten early while DH and DD do excursions.

High Tea is usually serverd on sea days at 3:30 - 4:30. And the spa is usually open from 8am til 10pm everyday except embarkation day and I believe they have all services available during this time.

There is one seating per day for Tea. It is 3:30 on sea days. There are very few tables, so do make your ressies as soon as you board. The tea is wonderful (or should I say, Magical?)

When we went to Rockin Bar D for Palo ressies, we needed to only get in one line for all 3 types of ressies. What I'm doing a poor job of saying is that one cast member gave us tea, brunch, and dinner reservations. This is different than what I'd read on these boards. (this was 2/7/04 Eastern Magic).

Spa reservations weren't a problem at all. In fact, when I went up, I was the only person there! Got everything I wanted within about 3 minutes. Interestingly, my spa experience was much different this time. The ladies working there seemed to have lost a lot of the snotty attitude. Not sure if they've gotten a little pixie dust or if this reflects my different appearance (I've lost 97 pounds between cruises). I'd just always experienced that little snotty edge to them in the past, none of it this time.

We did dining changes, then Palo, then spa ressies, then kid registration....no problems getting anything we wanted. Ressies are much easier on 7 day cruises than on 4 day.

I also was on the Magic 2/7/04 cruise and had not one problem making any ressies for dinner, brunch, (didn't do the tea) and spa, along with hair braiding and excursions. As far as the spa treatments go I'll just share what happened to me, before we left I was all set to do the Elemis Absolute Face and Body Treatment, which is an 45 minute massage of the back of the body followed by an aromatherapy and pressure point facial and scalp massage. The total time on this is approx. 105 minutes and because of the length of time involved they will only do this treatment on port days and since we had excursions planned I opted for the Aromaspa Ocean Wrap and Well Being Back Massage as it was only 75 minutes. However when I got there I was asked if I would be interested in a facial as well. I jumped at that and in all my total time ended up being about 90 minutes. Now here is the catch, the first treatment I wanted to have was $144.00, the treatment I ended up going with was $144, but after adding the facial it cost me an extra $65.00. So my advice is know what you want before you go and if you want facial and massage and you don't mind giving up some of your time on one of the islands I'd book it on a port day.
