Trying to book Palo Brunch since booking activities open on a sea day but every time I try it says no times available and doesn't say its sold out yet like other dining options Remy brunch and Remy dessert which do say sold out. Any reason why?

That happened to me my last cruise in April. When you get on the ship there will be a time and location to change dining and book Palo. Not sure what ship or how many days you are cruising but on our 7 day cruises on the Fantasy if we couldn't book Palo in advance they always had availability on embarkation day.

This is most likely because they do not have room for all people in your party. Even if it is just two of you, the system does not recognize this when scheduling...which is insane but yet it happens.

Option 1: You could try to enter just yourself into the reservation and see if that works then adjust it when you get on the ship. Or make the reservation and call DCL to have them add the other person(s) to the reservation.
Option 2: check at 5 to 3 days before sailing and when they cut off access at 11:59 PM on the 3 day mark. Many times reservations magically appear.
Option 3: go to the location noted on your Navigator on embarkation day to see if they have Palo reservations for Brunch.

If it is a shorter cruise you might have trouble getting brunch because of the number of days and hours it is offered.

This happened to me two years ago, couldn't get a reservation for 2 people but could get one for 4 so I booked the one for 4 and changed it when we boarded the ship to just the two of us..

We are on the Fantasy 7 day Western Caribbean Nov 10th and booking activities opened up August 12th. Been trying every day to book brunch on the 2nd sea day for 4 people but still says no times available. Still does not say sold out. Even tried booking different amount of people still no avail.

Book it on the first Sea Day (Sunday) if it is available. Then keep watching, if the 2nd sea day has a spot that opens the grab it and cancel the other one. If you can't get it on Thursday (2nd Sea Day) then when you get on the ship, go to the designated location on Embarkation Day and ask them to switch it to Thursday. Get there early to ensure they still have openings on both days. I have had to book on Embarkation twice for brunch and both times they had both days available to choose from - maybe just not the exact time you want.

Worst case is you can't get the 2nd Sea day and you really don't want the first sea day you cancel it on Embarkation day at the dining changes location and you won't be charged.

This happened to me week, I feel it must be a glitch with the site. I closed out all my windows and logged in again-reservation tines were avaiable again. Also looking again I switched browser Sometimes it said 0 and sometimes times were available. Keep trying it worked for me

Actually, to make a different reservation, you have to cancel the one you have first, then make the new one.

And I really don't like this as you can lose the other opportunity in the time it takes to cancel and go back in to book. Am I remembering correctly that it used to pop up telling you that you already have a rez and give you the option to cancel the previous rez??? That way was MUCH more efficient for sure! Or am I just remembering MDE doing that with reservations..... :o

We ate at Remy on our embarkation day, too, a couple of years ago. They called our stateroom that afternoon to see if we still wanted to dine there that evening, and of course, we said yes. They told us there were no other diners currently booked. As it turns out, we were the only couple in the entire restaurant all night long. Our reservation was 6:15 and no one was there when we arrived. We had the entire staff to ourselves. We didn't leave until shortly after 9, and no one had shown by then which was their last booking availability. All that to say to the OP, keep trying, use the strategies others have mentioned, and don't worry if the only times you have are the first night.

I found that if I go in under Chrome Incognito the system works much better. It sounds like you are having some glitch issues...which happen a lot. Try with one person and then call DCL to tell them that 3 other people will be seated with you at that time. It will show up on your end as having one person dining, but it will definitely be a reservation for 4 people.

Still been trying to book Palo on a daily basis since booking opened up on August 12th, but still says no times available no matter how many people I select and does not say sold out. This is not going to ruin our cruise if we don't get reservations. Have done the other dining options but not Palo brunch. We are still in GTY 5E status with 67 days till sail date to be assigned our stateroom, so I don't know if that matters. Any suggestions? FYI we used a travel agent.

Call Disney and see if it’s available.
If not the day you board you should be able to make reservations the hold some back for people. It will be listed in the Navigator where to make reservations

Keep trying but don't obsess over it - on embarkation day make sure you got to the location where they do the dining changes as soon as they open - I have gotten Palo brunch that way both time I needed to get it; I think you will be fine.

i agree if it doesn't work out go to the Palo book/change location on embarkation day at opening time. We are platinum and on opening booking day, I wanted 8:00 pm for dinner, however all they had available was too early for us or 8:30, which I knew would have my DSs itching to gt out of there to get to the nighttime activities. We took 8:30 but tried to change (arrived about 10 minutes early and were first in line). They had no problem moving us up to 8:00.

I would ask the TA to help you secure one via the Disney Travel agent site. They can see all availability for the entire week of the cruise as opposed to searching day to day for it. You might be GTY until anywhere from 10 to 14 days before sailing or you could get one in the next few days, weeks etc. 5E's are generally assigned at about 30 days out though as they sell thru their inventory to fill the ship.

Made reservations as Gold CC Members, in laws are cruising with us who are first time cruisers. We were unable to add them to our table via the website and online says to call, you call and they say it is sold out, to try on board. So frustrated with this process.

You can add them on board by going up to Palo on embarkation day or to the dining location noted on the Navigator and ask them to add 2 more people to your reservation.
You could also call back and ask them to just add two people to your existing reservation and it will be listed under your name but will be a 4 top. Most tables are 4 tops in Palo, so it will not be a huge deal. Sometimes it is all about who you talk to. It will show on your reservation as a party of 1, but it will in fact be for a party of 4.

I'm not sure if it ever says the words "sold out".
Keep trying - I hope you're able to get it! For us I managed to get a reservation a couple of weeks before the cruise (I did check obsessively though).

Over 50 minutes on hold tonight to be told once again to check onboard, I am seriously considering cancelling this cruise and the next one we have booked and finally making the switch to RCL
