Palo brunch Ladies shoe question

Packing for our cruise. Getting my shoes ready. Are dressy sandals that are open toe okay? I can take closed toe dressy booties to wear with my dress if need to but this would be an extra shoe that I won’t take if not needed for brunch. Thanks in advance!

Dressy sandals, as opposed to flip-flops, are acceptable.

The first ones will be fine. They don't want flip flops, but dressy sandals are allowed.

I suspect your wife was lucky to get by with tevas. Those are definitely in the “no sandals” territory.

I always assumed the flip flop ban has most to do with the sound. Then there’s the $1 plastic look.

My instincts are that Birkenstock’s are sandals rather than dress shoes.

I love mine but I definitely consider them comfortable rather than dressy.

With the variety of Birkenstocks out there, I think that's too broad a statement to make. I've worn several pairs of Birkenstocks with dressier outfits (including to Palo brunch and dinner a couple weeks ago). And when I wear my Mickey/Minnie birks, they fit right in and are great conversation starters too!

I wear "dressy" flip flops or sandals. By dressy I mean they have rhinestones or sparkles on them. Definitely open toed and I've not had a problem the 3 times I've been. Going back on Fantasy week of New Years.
