I have two questions.

First, do they serve brunch on Tracey Arm day?

Second, which day do you prefer for brunch on the 7 day Alaska cruise? Why? I know this is personal preference but I'm curious since my booking window opens very soon.

Yes, in the past, they've had Palo brunch on Tracy Arm day (well, it's technically a sea day, with no port).

DH and I were just discussing this this morning for our upcoming Alaskan cruise!

We have decided to book Palo brunch on the first sea day instead of Tracy Arm (yes they have brunch on Tracy Arm day) because I think we will just be too anxious to catch all the views. We've got a verandah (eek ) and hoping to utilize it a lot on TA day as well as top deck views and deck 4. I just feel, myself, I would be rushing through brunch, eventhough I've heard the views are serene from inside Palo.

When we did the Alaska cruise a few years ago thay had a lunch outdoor BBQ Tracy Arm day. I'm not sure if they still do this. They had salmon cooked on the grill. Yum!!
Because of that we did Palo brunch on a different day.

We did Palo on the first sea day on our Alaska cruise.
We were on our balcony all of Tracy Arm day, it was great. The temp. dropped to about 40 degrees and we were able to go back inside if we got too cold.

We actually prefer to do brunch on Tracy Arm day, around noon or a little earlier. You don't really enter into the main part of the fjord until noon and you don't reach the glacier until much later. The views from Palo as you are sailing through to the glacier are a perfect backdrop to a lovely meal. We still had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and the glacier from up on deck. We've done this twice now and would do so again in the future. The only reason we didn't do it on our 3rd Alaska cruise was because we took the glacier explorer excursion, which was totally worth it as well. On that cruise we went on the last sea day - at first I was disappointed to wait that long for the lovely brunch but it was a fantastic end to a wonderful trip. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong any day!

I was lucky to have Palo brunch on Tracy Arm morning a couple of years ago. The views were amazing and we weren't even seated by a window. The balcony around Palo is closed off so you're watching it all front row, in the warm, eating great food. Then (if you're not a CM), you still have quite a bit of time to layer up before you get to Tracy Arm, as well as a nice little food baby to keep you heated...
