Palo Brunch Buffet Back??

I didn’t realize the entrées were supposed to be the main meal the first time I went to brunch. Best meal of my life (didn’t have any entrées!) Second time I had brunch there the server made clear to me I could also order a fresh entrée showing at the left area of the buffet. I tried one, left most of it on the plate and went back to the buffet area. Never ordered an entrée again, and that seemed to work well for everyone.

I HATED the meal version I just had on the Fantasy. I just don’t like any of those entrées.

It WAS worth $45 because I could not get any of these items at home. It was a special, never going to find these anywhere, meal I could only get on Disney.
I took the clip above and tried to show what was UNAVAILABLE to have on the last experience.

I really hope this isn’t true, but it has been my guess all along that they wouldn’t bring it back. It still sells out and they must save a massive amount of $$ and labor not having that amazing variety of items. I will probably not go anymore. $45 was a good value for the buffet selection plus entrees, but not really worth it for 1/2 an eggs Benedict and some lasagna, even if it is delicious. :(

Especially since you have many other options for food that is already included in the cruise. The $45 is an upcharge over and above the other food you could get. I read through the Palo brunch menu and it is missing a lot. I would really miss the variety of the buffet.

Yeah... I've still been booking brunch in the hopes we'll get lucky and the buffet will be back by the time we sail. I understood the lack of buffet as a covid precaution. If they choose not to bring it back with the other buffets though, I doubt we'll keep doing brunch, at least not every cruise. IMHO the buffet was what made the brunch so magical. It'll be interesting to see how the popularity holds long term of they do choose not to bring the buffet back.

I'm trying to think of how, though. I mean there were SO MANY items. How do you put all that on a menu?
I agree, it would be difficult. I loved the variety, but I disliked the buffet part of trying to weave in and out of people politely and carrying the food, I broke my wrist and shoulder a few years back and they don’t work quite the same :)

Currently on wonder to hawaii and yes Palo brunch is back, ordered a bunch of items for $45 well worth it! Having Palo dinner tomorrow
When you say brunch is back….
Are you saying the ability to walk around and select from a assortment of 70-80 items? Or a sit down meal that serves breakfast and lunch from a 1/2 page menu? I’ve done both and they offered limited items on the meal.
So all the tiny items from my pictures above were back? I ❤️ That stuff! I’m going in 7 days and really hoping your right. But I left hungry from Fantasy in January. Not because I couldn’t have as much as I wanted but I just don’t find the entrées appealing. I have ordered them in the past, did try a few. 2 bites Meh, won’t order again even if on regular MDR menu.

Since this poster says they "ordered" stuff, I doubt they are talking about buffet. :(

On the Magic April 25-30, Palo server said he did not know if the buffet aspect was returning. *sight* :(

We got a reservation for it but opted not to go.

I’m on a 13 night cruise and wasn’t willing to give it a go for even one brunch without confirmation of buffet area. Guess I’ll eat on the deck more frequently this time to switch things up.

I feel you, buffets with a bum leg means a lot of painful walking without my walker.

They are actually VERY helpful with that. The last time my parents and I cruised together, my dad was on a cane because he was about to have hip replacement surgery. One of the servers walked through it with him and put whatever he asked for on the plate. (The same happened in Cabanas - the walking with and carrying the plates/tray.) You just have to be willing to accept help.

So you think they would carry my plate so I could use my walker? Even for multiple trips up and back to the table? That would be great, I am so not the kind who has trouble asking for help.

Yes they will do the same in Cabanas as well. My MIL used a walker and a crew member would offer to carry her plate

My dad didn't even ask and they took his.

Granted, he only did one for pre-menu stuff and one for dessert. (And one trip at Cabanas.) But I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.

I am so confused as to how they can justify the buffet not coming back. They've already opened up the buffets elsewhere.

Palo is a much smaller space, and much fewer people going through, which would make sanitization that much easier.
