is he really worth all that money???? i thought it would be cute for my daughter but...anyone know where to pick him up cheap? also we were thinking about getting her pins started now so she can trade in the park with out having to pay so much for them anywhere to pick those up at? thanks

I thought that Pal Mickey was more than worth it, especially since it is also a toy that my kids can play with at home. I know that you can rent one instead of buying and then if you decide that he is worth it you can buy it later, minus the rental fee.

The best souvenir that you can buy at WDW. I thought I would end up carrying him around during our 9 day stay but my daughter never let him out of her sight.

oooh i didnt know you could rent them...how much was that? i was able to find one on ebay that is goin for 47 bucks plus $10.00 shipping OUCH!

My children are teenagers and they really enjoyed using Pal Mickey. We've used him on two trips. I thought on the second trip they would leave it in the hotel--he was with my daughter each time we left for the parks. We found it just as fascinating on the second trip as the first and she enjoyed playing the games at the resorts.

I thought renting it was around $8/day with a $50 deposit (might be slightly higher now). I felt that after renting it 2-3 days we might as well put the extra dollars into it and buy one. Depends on how long you intend to rent it for.

P.S. I bought mine ahead of time and had it waiting in our room upon check in--my kid's were very pleasantly surprised to see it waiting on the table for them. A very nice added surprise.

thinkin i should buy it now because when she loses it theyre gonna keep my money anyway lol <shes 3> cheapest place to get them? or is every where pretty much the same..we will be getting annuals since we live about 2 hours away so at least she would get lots of use from it....
