Has anyone purchased Pal Mickey? How much? Was it worth it to have one? DS is 4.

...bumping...

me too! I so want to get one for my DS5 when we go in July! I think he would enjoy it. I've been looking for ones of eBay, but I'm thinking about just biting the bullet and buying one when we get there.....

...also don't they have different outfits that you can buy for him too??

I am wondering that too? I am thinking of getting one for our next trip but wondering if it would be worth the money?

I think we spent about $60 on Pal Mickey. He was worth it to us!!! He tells jokes, points out things of interest, you can play games with him, sing songs... While you are in the park he's interactive! He tells you when there are parades, which rides are here or there, etc! My SIL told me about hers and when we saw him, we bought him right away! He'll be coming with us on every Disney Trip!
You can buy him outfits, but he's great just the way he is! He'll be a great reminder of your vacation.

Yea, I was checking on eBay, they're WAY overpriced on there. We'll just get one where we get there so that way my son can get a "new toy" for our vacation!!

We purchased a Pal Mickey this past December, and my children loved him. If I remember correctly, I think he cost $65.00. To be honest, my older children(DS11 and DD8) liked him better than my younger one(DS6). The older two loved listening to his park information and history while my 6 yr old was more interested in his jokes. The only negative about him is that you have to carry him or hang him from something, and you find yourself including Pal Mickey in the same head count with your children. :goodvibes My children definitely think that he is worth it, but I am not sure about your DS since he is so young. Play with Pal Mickey in the gift shop and see what your son thinks.

Have fun!

I also bought one. I bought mine when we got to the park. He is not a cheap big cheese but I love my mickey so he was well worth it me and my granddaughter loves him too. I am going to take him with me on every trip.

We love our Pal Mickey. We've used him on 3 trips now. I wouldn't say that he has actually provided all that much useful information, but he is entertaining, especially for the kids. We have an 8 hour drive to WDW, and the kids love playing with him on the drive down, too.

We have had ours for a few years and he has gone on three trips with us, My DD's hang theirs from there pin lanyard and never complian about it. We all love it and sometimes they have to take it away from me.

First thing I do when I get to MK is get my Pal Mickey for my daughter, yeah right, he's for me! I'll just justify getting him because of her!

I think I remember seeing that he is sold at the DTD store that gives a 10% discount with Dis Rewards Visa for purchases over $50? I'm not sure it's the same store that offers a AAA discount.

We love our Pal Mickey!! He always comes with us!! He was lots of fun, had lots of interesting information and facts for us as we walked through the parks. He told us where characters were going to be, which was VERY helpful!!

He also kept the kids entertained in line!

We have the Sorcerer Pal Mickey.

He's fun!!!

I got him for $45 on ebay...it was a bit of luck really b/c he was listed as a buy it now, brand new...but he'd been taken out of the box and the lanyard was missing. We never missed the Lanyard as we have several Pin Trading lanyards. It was no problem. You just have to keep an eye out for good deals b/c he can be WAY overpriced on ebay. Last time I checked in the parks he was $75! YIKES!!!

We bought one this past March and it was a great investment. Not only did our DS love him but we enjoyed him as well. Our only issue is that Mickey has gone twice to Disney without us, he seems to like to pick up other families and hitch a ride with them.

Gotta keep an eye on him! ;)

We replaced the hook that was on him and added a caribiner to the loop on his back and hang him on our back pack or on a pants loop.

He really likes to ride stuff. His favorite is Mission Space.

Pal Mickey even rode Splash Mountain with us!! I tucked in him inside my park bag (I use a camo print Diaper Dude Messenger bag!) and then I covered the bag with a poncho! I should have put the poncho on completely as we all got massively SOAKED...but as it was, Pal Mickey stayed dry as a bone!

He DOES love to ride rides!

Pal Mickey is fun. Just so long as you have a place to secure him and/or tuck him inside of, he'll be fine on rides!!:thumbsup2

Pal Mickey loves to ride rides, He even went off while riding the Haunted Masion and made a comment about something on the ride, can't remember what it said though. This was one of the newer versions of Pal Mickey our older one did not do this.

We are in the minority because we didn't like him at all unfortunately. We could never hear what he was saying as half of the time when he was speaking it was so loud around us. Actually it felt like he hardly ever said anything and it must have been because we couldn't hear him or feel him because we had him facing the right direction. And you had to feel him vibrate sometimes so if he wasn't next to your person, you missed that too. :confused3
