Just curious,,,,, for those of you who have him.... Was he worth the money to buy/rent him or not. Thanks!

He's definitely best to rent. We had to carry him around and at the end of the day we were trying to sell him for half of what we bought him for. I recommend all the rent first and then think about buying.

We have him and should have saved our money. he is cute the first time or two, but after that he is just hanging around. He now is hanging on the wall with the MICKEY balloons from MK and MGM.

We were there 7 days so I purchased Pal Mickey. I wouldn't buy one just for a one/two day tour.
I have posted previously on these boards that I think he is great...Pal Mickey was a BIG help in Animal Kingdom & Epcot.

Also, If you have children, how will they take it if you give Mickey back at the end of the day?

Worth Every Penny! Gotta love the little guy. I got him last MNSSHP for my son and he still plays/sleeps with him. I love his jokes and things he does in the parks. Only gripe I have is that I wish you could download more jokes.

I know I'm a little behind the times here, but what is pal Mickey?

We rented him first to make sure we liked him but couldn't give him back! He really is fun.

I participated in the May/June Pal Mickey swap and fell in love!!! :lovestruc I will be getting one of my own for the December/January trip. ::MickeyMo

I LOVE the idea of Pal Mickey but I can't see spending $60 for him. I would have bought him if he were more like $30. At $60, I left him on the shelf.

I've been periodically looking on eBay for one at around $30 but to no avail.

Why is he so expensive anyway?

I bought Pal Mickey new in box on eBay in 2003 at a discounted price ($45?), we used him at the parks for five days, then resold him on eBay when we came home for only $5 less than what I paid. Figuring I was going to resell him, I kept his original box, papers, etc., and made sure he was well taken care of and didn't get dirty. With the original $10 shipping cost + the $5 that I "lost" when I sold him in slightly used condition, it cost me a little over $15 (if you count eBay selling fees) to use Pal Mickey for five days. VERY worth it! ::yes::

I remember how much fun he was at the World Showcase when he was so happy we went around the world in only one day. Then, he told us about a shortcut back into Epcot as we were walking passed a small garden path. That was impressive!

Pal Mickey was great fun, I highly recommend him, but for us, one trip was enough.

Thanks for all the replys. I'm still on the fence about buying him... I've told my daughter(8) if she really wants him, she can use her $$ that she's saved.

He told us of short lines at Buzz, Pooh and one other place...

I POSTED THIS BEFORE...SO SORRY FOR THE REPEAT...BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY ENOUGH TO REPEAT..

OUR PAL MICKEY TOLD US THAT THERE WAS A SHORT LINE ON BUZZ. WE GOT THERE IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES....AND IT WAS THE LOOOOONGEST LINE I EVER SAW. THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE ALL STANDING THERE WITH THEIR PAL MICKEY.

SO WHEN HE TELLS YOU THERE IS A SHORT LINE, HE IS ALSO TELLING 5,000 OTHER PEOPLE.
