Yes, we bought ours before we hit the parks. You may want to keep your receipt with you in case there are any malfunctions. We never had a problem though others have. He just ate batteries because we forgot to turn him off.

I think I paid $60 for mine at Epcot, I can't remember if that was tax included or not (I bought a few other things at the time too). I love my Pal Mickey.
