Pal Mickey (& Friends) Adventures & Fashions

Melani - by the way - its three AA batteries so bring a pack along before buying him. The batteries will be expensive in the parks. And like DisneyDeeva said remember to turn the ON switch to OFF each night, then back on before going into the park turnstyle.

If you live near a Michaels store, the bucket hats for bears fit him, as do the sunglasses. So you could pick up a hat and glasses for him before the trip. But I would not buy any of the bear clothes until you actualy have him as many do not fit him.

As you saw in this thread, photo ops are too numerous to count. I have several hundred of photos with him.

What time of year are you going?

Labor Day week.

I was playing with one of our other stuffed animals, and trying to get a feel for what it'd be like carrying him around all day. Is the lanyard a sting or wider strap? The most comfortable way was acroos one shoulder and under the other arm like a sling. He does come with a clip you say?

I saw on an old Downtown Disney map from Dec.'07 "special edition available at OUAT, WoD and Mickey's Groove." What so splecial about them? Which one's for sale at Pop? Should we stop at WoD on the way in instead?

The lanyard is the standard Disney lanyard width and length. You really cannot wear it anyway except around your neck as its too short to ho under an arm. But with the clip, he will attach to a belt, fannypack, backpack or purse.

So if you take a purse bag that you can wear accross your body, he could clip to that also. He does not way a lot in my opinion. I just carry him, or put him in the backpack - looking out of course and clipped onto the backpack so he does not tumble out.

The only one for sale now anywhere at Disney is the Sorcerer Edition I believe.

Alas, I have only one photo of Mick from our trip to Utah & California! We ended up leaving him in the hotel room when we went to Disneyland & Ca. Adventure since we were just too tired from our Utah trip to carry him. (And no, no Utah photos, either. It would've been fun to get him up in a hot air balloon, but they kept us on such a crazy schedule that we were too tired to even care!)

So, here is Sweetie Girl holding Mick at the Dodger game we went to. It was a great game - the Dodgers had a no-hitter going into the 8th inning.

Go Dodgers!

Here is a picture with Chuckie and his clip. I found that this worked for me. I could clip him on my belt loop, fanny pack, lanyard or whatever I wanted to clip him on.

That pumpkin costume gave me the best photo ops with the characters. I got plenty more attention than if I was all by myself.
I plan to have a few costumes for him to wear during our trip in December.

Posted this in another folder, but I'll give it a try here. Does anyone know if the Webkinz clothes fit PalMickey? I bought a PalMickey for our upcoming trip and have put him away as a Tinkerbell gift for my girls when we get there. I don't want to chance taking him out and trying on the clothes. LOL!

Yesterday while my son was playing at a friends house I thought it would be a good chance to print out the Pal Mickey "coupon" I had made to surprise him with at the resort. Well I got distracted and left it on the printer and what do you think was the first thing he said when he got in? "We're getting a Pal Mickey!?!?"

I was a little bummed, but glad to see he was excited about it.

24 Days!!!

No - too small. But, the Starbuck's Bearista clothes fit him nicely...

I have a closet full of naked bears to prove it! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: NOW look what you've started! I have won 3 Bearistas who will soon be naked in my closet. Pal Mickey will be stylin', though. We have a golf outfit, a skeleton costume, and an aviator jacket en route. :lmao:

ROTFLMAO!!! I have those. I also have the Gardener, Back To School, Uncle Sam, The Scarecrow, The Boston Minuteman. I'm sure there are others that I can't think of off the top of my head. They work pretty well. I do remember that I had to add hooks and eyes to the Minuteman Jacket. And, I had to snip a little hole in the seat of all the pants for Mickey's tail.

Here is a picture of the next naked bear to be added to my closet. He's a bit bigger than mickey but I just couldn't resist that hat and those shoes. He'll wear this for our dinner at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge:

I can't see the pictures. What will I do?

Please help. My Pal Mickey needs some new clothes.

I was getting cat food and saw this hat and collar. It is so cute!!!!

The wall in the background is the new color of my kitchen/dining room. After 5 or more coats, Hal finished, walked out of the kitchen, muttering under his breah, "I will never ever paint red again". I think there were a few more choice words that I cannot repeat here. :lmao: :lmao:

Stupid question from a diet pepsi drinker......do you get the clothes from starbucks? Do you have to buy the bears or can you just buy the clothes?

Thanks

You have to buy the bears - that's why I have "a closet full of naked bears" LOL!

I already have a Halloween costume for Chuckie but I got the Starbucks Halloween bear. It is wearing a pumpkin and it is just so darn cute!! Yeah, I have a bunch of 'nekked' bears too.

Our local police carry teddy bears in their cruisers for any children who they become in contact with during the line of duty. Maybe you could donate the bears to them to give to the kids - then you'll have that much more closet space for more Mickey clothes!

Just an idea, if you're looking to get rid of them...

You all are hilarious. I had contemplated getting a Pal mickey for my boys when we take our first WDW trip next year and decided against it. I think I just changed my mind. Guess I'll have to get my sewing hat on soon and make the Pal the same clothes I'm making my boys. (or buy some Starbucks bears, lol) :cool1:

A friend emailed me that she saw on the boards here that Pal is being discontinued. Whatever supply is on hand at WDW is the last.

This is sad to me, but won't stop me from bringing little PM to the parks once in a while. It is my understanding he will still work as far as getting the signals to speak as that technology is not being discontinued.

This is a sad note all!

When I was at WDW the beginning of this month the only outfits left anywhere was the rain coats and a couple of places had the pirate outfit. I really wanted the safari outfit but there is none to be found. :(
