Pal Mickey Abducted

Last seen sitting on top of ATM at ALL STAR MUSIC late Thursday night minding his own business wearing a red big dog strap (If you can't run with the big dogs, stay off the porch). My son and I stopped to get a little cash out and then went to our room. We realized it quickly and was back within 30 minutes but poor Mickey was gone. We reported him missing and checked every day to see if someone had turned him in but to no avail

This was the Pal Mickey I got my son last year and was one of the first models. My son was devestated even though I got him another that same night from the all star store. He was so attached to him and the new mickeys are "fat" (in his words) and not made the same (droopy pants)... I just can't believe someone would be so insensitive to take something so personal to a child. He misses him so bad it's painful to look at the vacation photos from earlier in the week. I would have paid double what he was worth just to get him back. Grrrrr... it makes me sooooooo mad

Anyway, just needed to vent; Anyone know where I could get one of the old "skinny" Pal Mickey's (has white plastic casing inside vs. the new black plastic casing).?

I am so sorry that this happened to your son. I can understand how much your son loves him.

My daughter carries her Pal Mickey everywhere. He is so dirty his gloves are dingy. I didn't know the new ones were different. I want to buy a new one but she says no way.

Poor little fellow, I understand exactly how you feel. I can't understand at all how somebody could keep something like that belonging to a child. Unfortunately, we had a similar incident our last trip. My son lost his gameboy between the parking lot and our room. Anybody who has a kindergarten/early elementary aged child knows how much they love their gameboys, and how hard they are to reason with once they are missing. His had his name and our phone number, and nobody turned it in. Grrr. Oh well, once the battery goes dead, they'll need to buy a charger.

We had the same kind of thing happen to us last year on our Thanksgiving trip. We had a stuffed Mickey, the exact same size as the Pal Mickeys and he was taken right out of the stroller basket. We concluded the theif thought it was a Pal Mickey. Regardless - possibly the meanest thig to steal a child's toy out of a stroller! If I had one, I'd trade! Sorry...
