Having read a few posts about systems crashing etc... I was a bit worried about calling to make our ADRs. Today was the day for my booking but I was busy at lunchtime so called just now.

No wait time. CM thought my Disney UK reservation number seemed short but I gave info about check in date and resort and she found us straight away (thanks for the tip in your thread WayneG)

I only have 5 days of DDP before we go on the cruise so not too many to make but they were all ok. I got everything I wanted, on the day I wanted and within 15mins of the time I asked for.

I have:

Chef Mickeys Dinner 17:40 Tues 11th Aug
Crystal Palace Breakfast 08:10 Weds 12th Aug
Boma Dinner 17:45 Thurs 13th Aug
Princess Storybook Lunch 11:55 Fri 14th Aug
Olivias Breakfast 07:45 Sat 15th Aug (pre cruise breakfast!)

Phonecall lasted around 16 mins (via a cheap international call number which is good)

We then have 7 nights on the Magic and 5 more nights in an offsite villa afterwards. We will book some ADRs for those days when they are open for booking but I am undecided on what to book. We will also eat offsite in the second part of the holiday - DH has his eye on a dinner a Texas De Brazil!

Great choices; glad booking process went well 10 days and I can do mine.:goodvibes

Glad you had a better experience Mel.
We thought about a pre cruise brekkie but decided against it, so much food to eat on the ship from about 12:30-1pm.

We have a spare table service credit and with two small children we need to keep to eating schedule - they are still a bit small to wait in anticipation of the glorious food to come!

We went for an early reservation though so we will have room for the lunch when we board!

Are you going to any Dis meets Mel? I know there are a few Dissers on that sailing. We almost did it but week later was cheaper and I could get secret Porthole cabin.
We have over 100 now on our cruise, will have to be at port early to get an early lunch for meet on 1st afternoon. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/asters/Dismeet Aug 09.htm

Glad you had a positive experience :thumbsup2

I think it really comes down to the CM you get. Some of them don't seem to have a clue, and go really slow whereas others just get on with it and have it all sorted in no time at all.

We are hoping to get to at least one of the Dis meets - there are a few things planned, some specific things and some more casual "ice cream meets"

Which cabin have you got - we got a SPH too - 5020 - if you have that one take good care of it for me!

We went for that sailing because it fit in with our prefered travel dates (DH is a teacher - as am I but only part time - and we wanted to be away a few days before and after the cruise, plus I really fancied Tortola.

Ahhh so I can blame you for us not being able to get a a SPR on the 15-22nd cruise:rotfl2:

We are on cruise after you on the 22nd-29th so you look after the ship:thumbsup2 We have done this itinery before but Grand Cayman was hit by hurricane so we missed it, hopefully get there this time.

We always try to get either 5020 or 5022, this time we got 5022, pic below from last time we had it.
I have a couple of folders with cruise pics if you haven't seen them, 2 pages in each folder.
