Paid In Full!!!

Woo Hoo! DW made the final payment on our DVC loans last night! It took us just over a year to pay it off. Granted, we pulled it off by buying a new car, but that's besides the point! DVC is paid for, and they're never taking it away from me!

Did you use a car loan somehow to pay off DVC? I don't understand what a new car has to do with paying off DVC.

I was thinking the same thing! Got to wait until the car is paid off, then we might look at a small contract at HHI, but that would most likely be a resale. We also need to plan a visit to make sure we like the resort. We bought BLT "site unseen", but I don't think I could do that with HHI. The other thing is I need to see how bad the drive would be. It's about a 9 hour drive for us.

Long story, but here's the gist. I had a 2003 Mazda Tribute that needed a lot of work. Decided to buy a new car instead of fixing the old one. Bought a KIA and they were running 0% financing for 3 years, so instead of trading in the car and playing that "game", I sold my old car to CarMax. CarMax pays cash, so instead of putting that money towards the new car I elected to completely finance the new car at 0% and pay off DVC. I esentially traded the 10.75% rate for a 0% rate.

Me too! Paid off the first one. Waited about a year then added on another 100 points. That one will be paid off within 18 months!

We only have 2 years left on our current personnel loan and we are just about to add on but I have managed to get most of the cash with a small loan.

Must feel good knowing its all paid. Happy holidays
