Paid FP options coming soon to WDW?

VIP is not straight to the front. I know this because I was once right behind a VIP group on the BTMRR fastpass line. They waited just like I did.

if it was a keys to the kingdom tour or backstage magic which is also escorted by a plaid they wait, the VIP does not.

But thats what $450-750 per HOUR minimum 6 hours buys you. It is truly a VIP experience

I really don't like the idea of having a random stranger tagging along with us during our special family time.

This is a big issue to me as well. I'm sure the guides are lovely and unobtrusive as possible, but I still don't want a stranger accompanying us through most of our day at WDW. I would be much more willing to pay big $ if the package instead provided unescorted, unlimited fastpasses.

Yea always mixed on the FastPasses because they slow down the standby lines so much. IT's nice for when you have them, and at the start it was fair as everyone had an equal shot at them. But I almost wish they'd either get rid of them or at least go back to the original concept of not booking them in advance, just inside the parks.

The first statement is 100% accurate. The second would never happen.

Given that a VIP tour --- basically, a human Fastpass --- costs about $5,000 for a single, 7-hour day, I think it stands to reason that Disney would never, ever give anyone unlimited Fastpasses all year round unless that person was paying unfathomable sums of money. Well into the six figures, I suspect. Reports are that even Club 33, which apparently will cost you somewhere around $50,000 for the first year, does not provide unlimited Fastpasses.

I wouldn't be surprised if Club 33's reported non-unlimited FastPasses comes down to technical debt (go-go gadget Disney IT) paired with "Unlimited" being way more easily abused compared to a "large but finite quantity". The intention may still be something along the lines of "all you care to enjoy" FastPass for Club 33.

For similar reasons, per-day paid "Unlimited" will likely never happen. In addition to the above, as others have mentioned, it would compete with VIP tours, which are $3k-9k per 7-12hr day for a group of 10.

And abusing "Unlimited" would be easy, just have one guest buy "Unlimited" and share MagicBands tied to their account with others in their family/group. VIP Tours are not nearly as abusable and have marginal cost (underpaid CM + transportation costs between parks).

DVC receiving "Unlimited" will only happen if FastPass becomes the new standby and a hypothetical "FasterPass" supercedes it. DVC membership numbers are huge and the system cannot support many real perks for DVC members (outside of its core perk: substantial discounts on resort stays).

if i’m in the great maine woods with a time limit I’m hiring a guide i prefer the solitude and i’m a country boy so I know how to use a map and compass. That said the guide knows the best and safest and most economical route to a destination. Same is true at WDW as once you have been backstage you realize that the park is a lot smaller than it seems. The onstage paths are designed to be long

because under a less greedy management team we used to get length of stay passes for everyone on the DVC reservation. That was pretty labor intensive so we them got deep discounts on AP’s which over the years the discount waned, And now AP’s are dead.

We did get a bunch of FPs when we bought DVC years ago. I think like 20 or so? It was a lot. Also, if you stay in the Castle Club at Disneyland Paris hotel, you got a VIP FP that you could use anywhere, anytime. That was GREAT. I don't really see that happening at WDW, but it was a perk that made the cost easier to swallow. When we did a tour at the MK, our group used the FP line, not right to the front, but it was not a long wait.
