I feel the same way! Tomorrow is July 1st - can we hear something please!!
Maybe Friday when they can dump the bad news on us.

Not a DVC owner, but go every year prior to last year. we arent booking a vacation at WDW for 2022, one of the major reasons is the lack of perks and changes that have taken place in the past few years.
Welcome to Chapek's Disney. Covid has given them the reason to finally do everything they have always wanted to do.

Lol. I need to plan! And there’s too much changing to plan anything! It’s horrible. By this point last time I had my dining plan laid out, was working on itineraries. It was great! Now, just a lot of waiting and speculating.
I hate waiting.
I'm right there with you, I'm living vicariously by severely over planning my universal trip. Which I was originally doing because there was almost no planning required. But in the absence of not being able to plan anything for Disney I seem to be overcompensating. I think I'm driving my husband nuts.

My next trip is in January with my adult daughter. It is normally just the 2 of us who travel to Disney, so a much smaller group than most. I have done MNSSHP, MVMCP, MK After Hours, AK After Hours, Wild Africa Trek, Keys to the Kingdom.........................., so I am one of the suckers who has been happy to pay for the extras. I hope that they bring back the 3 free fast passes. I will admit thought that I would consider buying unlimited if that was offered. I would do MK, HS and maybe even AK. I hope that it is an add on item that can be done per park reservation and not for the length of stay as I wouldn't want to do that. Unfortunately I think that $100.00 is to low and probably more people than we think would purchase it, so I would guess it would be at least $200 or up. It would be nice if the announcement happens sooner rather than later though so those with planned trips can start working on a game plan!

This is sort of what I am anticipating as well. I could see them maybe trying to use the mobile order platform as a baseline to code some FP purchase type things. If they really wanted to make some cash, add some dynamic pricing. Not that it would work with the dismal IT situation but there's a lot of opportunitie$ out there.
The IT group is pretty darn good. The platform is the issue. It is requiring a ton of modification to integrate programs. If they spent as much money on quality software and platforms as they do on the people who work on them, they wouldn't have the consistent issues.

Ugh....for the love of all that is holy.....just tell us SOMETHING. I spend too much time of my day refreshing this site and checking all the latest posts in the FP threads :P

Even if it's "FP+ will be back by the start of the 50th anniversary"....at least it's something and we can stop freaking ourselves out with unfounded theories and speculation. People throw out numbers like $300 a day and then I see other posters stating that as "fact" like it's confirmed that's a number Disney is considering....sheesh.
I'm yet to hear any numbers like that. Not even close. I think people are making assumptions based on what other parks charge. But none of us will know until they make an official announcement.

That's really what I'm referring to, the actual infrastructure vs the individuals.

I’m going to hold strong on my original theory (bringing back the old FP+ fully).

But with this now in mind, I’m thinking if anything, it would be more like 2 free ones for all on site guests. With moderates getting a certain amount of additional fastpasses that they can pay for, and deluxe having unlimited additional that they can pay for somehow. Or something like that.

But that doesn’t factor in day-of ticket holders, locals or AP passholders.

This new evening EMH for deluxe has me wondering if FP will be tiered too.

That was my first thought and I'm not sure they'd make any changes if they're just rolling out old FP+ temporarily before moving to a new system. My guess is we're going to see the old FP+, just as it was before closing, at least for a while.

At that point, I do think it's going to be based on resort level, but I think they'll do it more like Universal. A Deluxe or DVC comes with FP+, for all others, it can be purchased. They may discount it for other resort levels vs what they'd charge off site guests. I don't see a system where it's the number of FP's you get based on resort level. A system where the highest level gets 3fp's and no more makes no sense to me and would under utilize the system.
