DH has finally relented and rescued the suitcases from the loft :Pinkbounc

Never been at this time of year before - what clothes should I take ?

Do we need jeans, sweatshirts or jackets for early mornings, evening or late nights (including a Fireworks Cruise & MNSSHP)? Only ever packed shorts, vests and a few T-shirts before !!

Tracey we are going in a couple of weeks and Im taking shorts, vest t shirts, cardies (for evenings) and im travelling in Jeans :D
JJ posted that the weather was still quite good:D

I packed today :bounce:

I have packed three cardi/fleeces and some 3/4 length trousers for the evenings. We have been twice this time of year and the weather is great :)

Tracey,
I was there last year ate approximately the same time as your trip.
The weather was excellent apart from a couple of evenings where it rained. It was shorts and tee-shirts for the entire fortnight. If you have kids it would be advisable to take a fleece or light jacket if you intend hanging around for the night time shows as they might get cold if they become tired.

Have a great trip.

We're going back same time as we were over there last year. I'm only bothering with one thing cotton cardie type thingy - and that's only for the aircon in the restaurants:D

We found it fine in the evenings. One evening - I think it was our first - I did feel a little chilly at first, so on visiting WalMart purchased a brilliant Winnie fleece - put it on (would have worn it even if it was 90 degrees it was so cute;) ), and understandably got all sorts of funny looks from people:o I roasted so it came off pretty quick.

We are trying so hard this year to really only take the bare minimum - DH and DD are refusing to take anything that even remotely resembles long sleeves:rolleyes:

There's always the shops when you get there if a sudden cooler spell descends.

We always go in Oct as this is the only time that my DH can get 2weeks holiday to coincide with the school holidays.
I always take a cardigan for myself, more for the air conditioning in the restaurants than for anything else.
My 2 x DD's and DS take a thin/lightweight sports zipper style jacket for later in the evenings while watching the fireworks etc as they find that they start to get a bit cold by then.
Other than the lightweight jackets and cardigan it's usually shorts and t-shirts for everyone, although I'll be wearing 3/4 trousers for the Illuminations cruise.

Helen:smooth:
