I see everyone packs snacks and drinks for inside the park, to lower costs. what confuses me is, it says outside drinks/snacks not allowed, when you go thru security are they going to say anything when the see obvious snacks and drinks in your backpack? How do you handle this? TIA

It isn't a problem if it's in reasonable amounts. You also can't bring glass. You can even bring lunch, but not all of the stuff to make the sandwiches. A six pack cooler or less and they won't give you grief.

We bring water bottles, dried fruit, crackers, and maybe snack bars and never had any trouble at all.

OK that makes sense. I was planning on some protein bars, crackers or goldfish and 3 reusable water bottles, to refill at the stations. Thank you.

You will be fine with the items you have listed. :)

If you prefer filtered water, the fountain near Rancho Del Zocalo and the one in the first aid station are cold and filtered :-)

What you've listed sounds fine. We've had security CMs tease us about our snacks -- how yummy they looked and would we give them some. :)
