I am planning on the mister fans, but I saw it meantioned about the packs that you wet, making the packs cool and they go around your neck.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? What are they called? And more importantly where can you find them.

I have tried Wal-Mart, Target and Sports Authority...no luck. We are going in Sept. and I am sure we will need them.

Thanks for any info!!

Do you mean the ones that look like a bandana? They have this gel stuff that swells when you get it wet. They are at walmart in the sporting goods section and cost $3.97. I buy these for my son who mows yards for Disney money in the summer. Hope this helps Evil Queen. ;)

Yes, that's what I think I mean (I have never seen them). I will check the Super Wal-Mart, the local smaller one I couldn't find. I even asked the lady in sporting goods, the look I got, but could be the way I explained it. I got the same look at Sports Authority today (after 30 minutes searching up and down each isle).

Thank you so much..........My search continues, but that is part of the fun of getting ready..and since we are 8 months away from the trip I should be able to locate them!! :flower:

I just bought two of the "cool neck wrap" things at our local Disney world outlet store. It sells stuff from the parks and the NY world of Disney store. I have seen these in the parks as well. it was something like $5.00 each. I have not tried them yet. They are very thin which I like. I had another brand lastsummer and it was so thick and heavy it gave ne a neckache and DD would not wear hers. I will let you know how they are. Anyone else with experience with them?

Thanks. Yes, please let me know how you like them.

Heavy ones, may or may not bother me personally. I wear those heating pads on my neck due to muscle tension.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a backpack? :cool1: I went with my ds, then 8, last year and each day I carried less and less "stuff". In the heat of July every additional ounce felt like a pound. We are returning in June this year. Would like to carry less around with me and perhaps have a backpack just suited for the job. Any suggestions?

I recommend a fanny pack! Yes, I know, fanny pack. :rolleyes1 Oh, no not me! But they are SWEET! And everyone wears one, so it's not like you're the only one. :rotfl:

If you can't find these bandanas or prefer to size your own, you can buy 'Plant Gel' and make your own. Assuming you can find plant gel and can sew.
