Just wondering if anyone has a packing list, for travelling with a young child. DD will be 16 months when we go to Disney in September. Any suggestions on packing "must bring" items.

Thanks

Well, I don't have my packing list handy, but some of our must haves that come to mind for the littles are:

for our 6 month old: pacifier clipped to onesie, bottles, crib ordered in room, rental swing delivered to hotel, extra onesies, baby food, bib, disposable spoon in baby bag, hat, sunscreen, chewie toy, stroller he could recline in, stroller fan (unfortunately, it broke on the plane, but it would have been nice to have in the park), small receiving blanket to put on stroller when he is facing into the sun.

for our 2 and 4 year old: an extra stroller for the 2 year old (it's nice if it gives you room for the soft sided cooler in a basket), with those stroller links to link to the baby stroller when only one parent is pushing (they are great!), a personal fan, baby wipes to wipe their faces and necks when hot at the park, suncreen (lots!), hats (with straps if you have active ones), snacks like granola bars and water in bottles, camera -- those faces they make are precious, autograph books with sharpie marker (I bought little notebooks at the dollar store before we left)

I'm sure I forgot a lot of things, but maybe this will help.

We were at WDW for 2 weeks in October and had a washer/dryer. So this is what I packed for DD when she was 17 months. In the checked luggage:
2 short sleeve tops
2 tank tops
3 short sleeve onesies
2 pairs of shorts
1 long-sleeve tops
1 pair of jeans
1 light weight jacket
2 sets of PJs
1 pair of sneakers
3 pairs of socks
Swimsuit
Swim diapers
Swim shoes
Enough diapers for the entire trip
Enough baby wipes for the entire trip
Disposable bibs
Disposable table mats
Sippy cup
Scissors
Travel bowl, spoon, fork (all plastic)
Gerber stage 2 vege packs (I packed enough for 2 per day)
1 box of Gerber oatmeal, container to hold enough oatmeal for 1 day in the park
Sunscreen
Small first aid kit

In my carry-on back pack:
Enough diapers and wipes for 1 day
Extra set of clothes for DD
DD's lovey
Goldfish crackers
Sippy cup
New books and toys (did not reveal the new items until absolutely necessary on the plane. Then she would play with the new items while in the parks.)
In a 3 quart size zip-lock bag: 2 Gerber vege packs, small tube of sunscreen

I hope this helps!

What I have set to go:

Large diaper bag that will double as my carryon.
Small diaper bag/back pack I will bring to parks.
Disposable cups.
Strap for cups to attach to stroller.
Disposable forks and spoons for eating.
Bandaids
sunblock
hat (he wont wear it, but we will try)
baby tylenol
disposable placemats to eat off of.
wipes for those sticky situations
diapers, swimmies
Babywash and shampoo
A thin blanket for night if he should fall asleep in stroller.

I am packing double the clothes for just in case.

Then for airtravel he has his own back pack with travel friendly things (crayons, books, small toys and snacks). Some old favorites and some new things. And a favorite teddy bear.

Checked luggage:

Enough clothes for your trip plus a couple days
Diapers (we bought diapers by the box, each box had two wrapped pacakges of diapers; we packed one entire package in the suitcase of those in the suitcase)
Take-n-toss cups and silverware (plasticware :P)
A back-pack/park bag (we skipped the diaper bag as it was too bulky, and instead packed a backpack in the bottom of the suitcase to throw on the back of the stroller for the parks)

Carry-on:
Favorite lovey and/or blanket from home
Snacks/drinks (possibly packed in it's own small bag to make it easier for TSA to spot and check; we used a small soft-sided lunch box and TSA appreciated it because it made their job easier and we spent less time waiting on them to check the items)
A few small toys (preferably things you wouldn't be heartbroken to lose)

Those are the things I can think of right off the top of my head that we took for DS at 14 months. If I think of anymore, I'll be sure to post them!!
