I am putting one together for my kids. But would love to see others, mostly to see if you thought of something I missed. Especially from those who have done this.

We have never gone on a cruise and not sure how much to pack for them. My youngest are 5 - b/g twins.

SO far here is what I have for them.....

5 Shirts (shorts outfits for my DD)
3 shorts for DS
2 bathing suits
sandels
7 underwear
Goggles
2 pants
1 windbreaker
formal wear
1 formal wear shoes/sock
hair accessories for my DD

Did I miss anything?

TIA

Maybe its just me, but they might want to have tennis shoes and socks. I know from experience, for the Oceaneer's Club, its better to play in tennis shoes than in sandals.

What about:
autograph books or pillowcases
Pj's
nightlight unless you're going to crack the bathroom door open
lots of sunblock, sunglasses, hats and such

Looks like you got it all! Have a blast!
Amy

How about if they have a special stuffed animal or blanket that they sleep with.

Thanks I missed a few things.

Tennis shoes/socks are on my original list, missed it here.

Sunscreen is on my list.

Need to add:
hats, night light, pj's (can't belive I left that off!!)

no fav sleeping time animals or blankets. Ok DD has one, but it is HUGE and sleeps at the foot of her bed, and DS varies so it will be whatever he is into that week (so far baseball cards)

THANKS!!

on top of my list would be gameboy charger...hate to have them go into withdrawl.

Just remembered- sunglasses, if they wear them. My eyelids got sunburned when I went to WDW and on the Disney Magic back when it did the land-sea cruise. I had to buy sunglasses there at sky-high prices to prevent my eyelids from hurting any further.

EDIT- I had a hat too, so its not just from the sun, but from the pavement, sand, water, etc.

If it is a 7 day, plan on doing laundry. Personally I don't want to waste a minute, and I will pack a casual outfit/day for each child plus 2-3 extra for spills. Kids tees/shorts don't take up much room! DD wants a different dress every night for dinner (like mother, like daughter), and the boys will have different shirts, but likely only one pair of dressy shorts/one pair dress slacks. Light colors are cooler when outdoors, but dark colors don't show the dirt as much! (and remember the ship is air conditioned! You might throw a sweatshirt in for each, just in case--or buy one on the ship if you need one!)
Maybe a waterproof disposable camera for each child so they can take their own pics!
Personally I am going to do the pillowcase route. I have seen some cute autograph books, but that involves waiting in line (another time waster). You can drop the pillowcases off w/ a sharpie at guest services, and they will return it to your room w/ all the signatures!
Happy cruising!

Oh, I know another one. Extra underwear! The kids especially went through more than one pair a day. They would get sweaty, go swimming, change clothes, etc. - I think they went through at least 2 pairs a day. Of course you can do laundry, too, but it helps to have extras

I checked my list and came up with a couple more:

1.children's Tylenol or Motrin
2.Aqua socks or Beach socks that they can keep on in the water
3.light sweater or jacket for the dining room and/or theater - sometimes it can get cold, especially if you are sunburned or have been out in the sun all day!

On that note, I never go anywhere without a thermometer.

A night light
extension cord

we travel with stacking cups - they take up little room in the suitcase and can be used for the bath, pool, sand, and for a toy. They are awesome.

We also always have along the write on/wipe off coloring books and pens to keep everyone amused during long waits either at dinner or in the airport.

My biggest luggage suckerupper is books - we take lots and lots of books.

Great thread!!!!! :cool1: I can't believe I forgot about water shoes..... I was thinking with the pools on the ship I wouldn't need them.........
forgot all about the excursions ~ and in the ocean - maybe I should pick some up for myself and DH as well as the kids??? Do you all wear water shoes???? :confused3

I try to keep the water shoes on my kids, especially at the beach. They also help from slipping around the pool too.
My DH and I wear them at the beach only. If we don't use our fins, we will wear them while we snorkel. I would suggest getting some if you are going to do a lot of beach activity.

Oh yeah... the pirate party pirate:
When exactly is the pirate party??? (7 day eastern) and what does everyone wear??? (including adults) TIA!!!

I'm an overpacker, but I would also bring: bugspray/wipes, & color bath tablets for our 3yo dd.

swim suit coverup
birth certificate or passport
medical insurance information
Aloe for sunburns
chewable sea sick med
neosporin
band aids (yes the ship will have them, but will you have access to them when off the ship)
children's cold medicine
shampoo/conditioner/soap if they require a certain type
hair brush
tooth brush
toothpaste
safety pins
kleenex
lip balm
bug spray
little pack of toilet seat covers you can get at target (you can also get little packs of toilett paper if you're worried )
personal fan
cup with lid to put drinks in to carry around the ship and for in the room
rain gear
paper/ pens etc. to let kids draw write if they need to be kept busy for a while. My 6 year old loves to have a little pad of paper and pen to scribble on, keeps her buys for hours, especially in the car.
scissors, cause my daughter is always find something that needs to be cut with scissors.
