Packing List for January?

Our first January trip (2009) we were in shorts and tank tops and swimming at the pool whenever we could. The weather was SO nice. At night we just needed a hoodie and we were good to go. I have fond memories of sitting at the Poly beach watching the fireworks.

The next January (2010) it was COLD. FREEZING. The wind went right through you and you could never be warm. I have not so fond memories of wearing a long sleeved shirt, t shirt, two hoodies, gloves and a hat and still being freezing because of the wind. We spent a couple days in Daytona and it was SNOWING. We were down the gulf coast and there were frozen fish on the beach. We had a very hard time making it for fireworks etc. at night as it was just way too cold. We were staying on the Boardwalk and they moved their entertainment inside.

This January we'll be down on the gulf coast a bit, a cruise and Orlando... thankfully we'll have access to washer/dryer... but still our packing will be tricky. But we learned a few things.

1) Pack gloves and a hat. They're WAY too overpriced at Disney and if you're staying on site, Disney has a way of making you forget there is an outside world.. we never even considered a stop at Walmart. ha ha ha.

2) Pack a wind-resistant jacket. We're coming from winter, so we may even wear our winter coats on the plane for the first time ever.

3) Pack a pair of pants or two. Pack shoes that are not sandals. Pack a few pairs of socks.

4) Pack a few warm weather outfits.

5) Pack Bathing suits.
