We are going away on Tuesday, so packing has started. I've made an executive decision not to iron anything (because it only gets creased in transit and anyway there will be an iron in the room) but my main problems are:

a) none of the socks in this house seem to have pairs, even though there were two of each when I bought them, and

b) we actually have a really busy weekend, as we are going to the Bad Taste Bears Teddy Bears' Picnic tomorrow and to Silverstone on Sunday, so I'll have to do a lot of washing on Monday and not let the children get dressed in current clothes. Come Monday, they'll be wearing too-small t-shirts and trousers with rips in them.

Still, I'm making a list as I go along of what I've actually put in the case, as I don't want to be rummaging on Tuesday morning just to check that I have remembered everything.

Oh, and can I just say... I'm So Excited!!!!! :cool1: :yay: :cheer2: :dancer: party: :mickeyjum

It's over three years since we went to WDW. Ds1 was 4 1/2 and Ds2 was not quite 2, and they remember very little about it, so it will almost be like taking them for the first time.

Im in much of the same boat, just starting the packing for tuesday flight, yea been to orlando 9 times, but boy maybe im a big 38 yr old kid but im SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED:banana:

I have been packing for weeks and the ironing takes ages - even though we have an iron in the hotel - but I dont want to be ironing everything when I get there.:rotfl2:

Have a good time :thumbsup2 Might see you there.

WOW what a great weekend before the start of your holiday.

I know how you all feel. I am doing the big pack on Sunday (we depart Friday). I too will iron most things before we go (my mother would be ashamed of me as I refuse to iron underware and socks and I also refuse to take a dish cloth she seems to take one on every holiday no matter where she is going :rotfl: )

No doubt by Monday you will be double checking you have packed everything. I know I will even though I have a packing list.

Have a great trip (all of you who depart next week :dance3: ) and try not to stress about anything afterall in a few days time you will be in the magic.

Could you post your packing list please - I have real trouble remembering things that we will need, and maybe that will help me! Thanks!

We leave Friday too-My Mum & Dad are staying at ours tonight (they will have just got back off their hol) and are taking DD & DS back with them for a few days. I've packed toilitries, swimming goggles, towels, travel plugs etc already. As soon as Kids depart on Sunday I'll use DS bed to put suitcases on so I can start packing in ernest. Every year I promise myself not to take too much next time we go-but you always do don't you.

Dilemma is what clothes do I send with them to Mums-can't send old clothes-she'd be horrified. Mind you she'll send them back with everything washed and ironed anyway.

I'm at work Mon Tues & Weds but taken Thursday off to finish packing-sort house (hubby can't understand why I have to spring clean before I go)-and oh yes better not forget to fetch kids back from Nannie's house! 3 hour round trip!

20 days for us :cool1: and ive just got the 1st case out so i can pack the non essentials :woohoo:

wow have a great time, I always think packing is one of the most exciting parts of the holiday lol

I have the kids completely packed for our october trip. My friend thinks I'm mad!! We came back from Spain last week so I just washed the holiday clothes and repacked them. We are also due to move house 6 days before our trip:scared1: so I think I'm quite sensible.

We're a Tuesday departure too so packing has commenced for us. I'm really lucky now my DDs are grown up as they do all the packing - very expert :thumbsup2

I'll be in the same boat as your children - wearing all my old clothes :rotfl2:

And yes :music:I'm so excited, so excited, I just can't hide it:music:

Very sensible! I wouldn't be able to manage it though, as my children just wouldn't have enough clothes for the rest of the summer holiday.

However, we are thinking of getting some winter sun during Feb half term, so packing for that will be much easier as I can't see them wearing their summer clothes by then :rotfl:

Sounds fine to me-thet're not going to need shorts and T-Shirts here anyway!!
